Give me a stereotype of any genre of music and I will post a song that breaks it.

I'm a trumpet player and I love classical music but is there a classical song that has lyrics?
(If you want me to put it in a sterotype here "All classical music has no lyrics.")

Good Luck
There is this thing called opera. This whole massive thing.
Good Job I forgot about the opera but I'm sorry to say that I ment in english (Both :( and :D)

Edit: I don't want to be rude but opera is more of a musical then a song.

There's a shitload of hymns that have been set to music by classical composers. So, yeah, there's classical music with lyrics that aint opera.

Pop is annoying and shallow.
This one was tackled already with the broad category of "The Beatles"
What if I think the Beatles were shallow and annoying?

I guess it's just me
Did you honestly find Common People "shallow and annoying"? A snarling song about the class divide, told through a story about a rich girl who gets off by slumming it with the lower classes. Its filled with more bile and viscious satire than most punk songs I can think of.
Or Fight Test, a song about all the emotions involved in being involved in a fight but making the mistake of trying to rise above it, losing a girl over it?

Ok, you all win. Not all of them are terrible.

Rap is a genre. Your thought on the matter doesn't change that fact. Get over it.
Even though you've been suspended, I have to stick my oar in as I strongly suspect you're still reading!

Hip-hop is a genre, rap is a sub-genre.

Aaaand back on topic!

Gangsta rap doesn't work without lyrics.
You know what, I think you're right!

Indie pop rock. It's typically known as upbeat music with soft but fun vocals and a bouncy beat.
The Kills this one of my favorite songs.
That is definitely not pop rock. It's solid alternative punk. Have you ever HEARD of a indie pop rock song?
sorry I only partially read your comment and saw the "Indie Rock" part... it was 3 in the morning...

Dub Step sounds like a whale being defiled by bass.

You can't break that one mate! Try as you might...it will always sound like that. And people who like it will describe it as 'phat' and annoy me by ruining every night club

Hey, am I crazy, or is your avatar Benjamin Linus?

OT: I don't think any genre is outright terrible. Not country, not rap, not rock. Well, maybe deathmetal. But you already did that one.
Yes, my good sir, that is in fact, Benjamin Linus A.K.A. Henry Gale, as creepy as ever.

I knew it was only a matter of time before my OMG Ben met up with a Frozen Donkey Wheel. Now....my life...is complete.

You, sir, win a Korean Out of Fucking Nowhere.

Actually that gives me an idea....

EDIT: Never mind, didn't work.

Well, I was going to follow up your gif with another, but:

A. I don't want to derail this thread.

B. I don't know how to upload gifs onto the thread.

So, I'll just end this post by saying: "Theresa falls up the stairs, Theresa falls down the stairs."
