Everyone seems to love seeing pics of Old School stuff,
Of course, all the old gits like me get all teary eyed remembering the days before the buyout in '93 and start grumbling how it all went downhill after that and all the kiddies like to see the wierd old designs they can't buy anymore. I did have some of the old pre Rogue Trader Marines but IDK if I swapped them with a mate or cut them up for conversions. I still have a bunch of old chaos warriors and orcs from 85-87 that I'll post once finished. I told a mate of mine that you could get £££ for them online and he suddenly remembered he might have a bunch of old chaos renegades, and pre rogue trader marines (which leads me to believe he got them in a swap with me) so I'll get 1st dibs if they haven't been chucked. They had a lot more individuality than the new ones and looked a fuck of a lot wierder.

Also: I want to see you paint a vintage titan. Some vintage boys might be fun, too.

I've been slowly working on my battlewagon. The assembly isn't far from being done. I may actually paint that before I get on with the nobs...any suggestions on wagon assembly from other ork players?
OK, will do a titan, but after the Seraphim. As for orks I'm a bit sick of green, even after 15 years, I have posted my old rogue trader/1st ed orks though, just look at my 1st post, I've put everything into that one for easy reference.

As for the Battlewagon, mine is the 1st ed one, very different to the new one, looks like the front half of the forge World Ork Gunwagon models. Talking of...have you seen Forge Worlds new Grot Tanks? So cute, I wants 'em...

Okay here it comes. My very own Ethereal, first skin I've ever tried to paint. Just look at my trembling 'lines' =P

I'm not worthy. xD

That's a perfectly good basecoat. Now you just have to apply shade and highlight, it's not hard, you just have to know what to do, after that it's just a case of following the prescribed method.

Damn you! Now I've got that idea for a ice-themed fire warrior team back in my head... suppose I'll have to go buy a fire warrior team and see or I can get some cool snow and ice like materials... so possibly a few photo's from me in a few weeks or months! I'd post some of my older stuff, but all of that is long gone... it sort of, erh went missing when I moved.

And I'm back. Please forgive the low quality; I'll fix it when I figure out this camera/get a better one. And yes, I have 3 armies.

WAAAAAGGGGGHHHH! THE BAD QUALITY! WAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!

A warbike... thing.

A Dreadnaught. All it needs is the skull on the front painted.
OMG THIS TREE IS FAKKING AWESOME! YOU CANNOT MAKE A MORE BETTER TREE THAN THIS!

It's hard to tell on this picture, but the gunner on the right buggy is missing an arm, and the gunner on the left buggy is missing EVERYTHING.

A little Termagaunt.
My first Carnifex. Note the regeneration and other examples of great army setup...

But it is the most extensively modded one I have, and these pictures don't make the add-ons easy to see. He has spikes around his waist, plates on his shoulders, a large spike on his head, an extra spike under his scythe tail, and a large plate on his chest.

And my Hive Tyrant. Not sure where his arm is, so after a few years of MIA I finally painted over it. I really like how the scything talons for wings turned out. I consider it one of the best things I done with the army(top spot, obviously, goes to that tree).
I have many, many more, but I'm saving those until I have a camera that makes it feel like I'm not wasting my time.

Fiancees half-orc. He's all shiny because I gave him a gloss-coat (mini's around here take a good beating).

All of these are great, when I get home on Friday maybe I'll me confident enough with my own to show them off a bit.

Oh, and March Hare, I can't believe it's taken me this long to remember where I've seen your avatar before, and now I just have to wonder if I ever mentioned what I always use as my username...

...Where have you seen my avatar before? It was drawn for me by alalge and it should only be here, DeviantArt, youtube or mine and alalge's photobucket accounts.

Well...uhh...thanks for the attempt, at least you tried. I would comment on them if I could see them...

I'm starting my Seraphim now. Will post soon as she's finished. I also recieved my varnish through the post yesterday so I can stop all my newly painted models getting fucked up. Yay!

PS March Hare...did you see my link for buying warmachine in the UK in the other thread?

Thanks for posting. What company made him? You could use a satin or matt varnish, they protect well and don't go so shiny shiny.

I'm Joe, you showed it to me, along with the Irish version, a while ago.

Wow, that's a massive collection you have there. It sounds like you've been collecting for about 20 years.

I'd post my favourites from my collection, but they are at home and I am at school and I won't leave school for another few weeks. Just imagine a single battalion of high elf spearmen led by a mage and you have what I would be uploading if I could.

I have a 2000 point Space Marine army, but I painted them all extremely badly since I started when I was about 8. Half of them aren't even painted at all.

Heh, yeah. Anyway, not wanting to derail the thread any further, but does this mean your starting to paint again, or are you just showing off your best?

Haven't you heard? I'm a natural at derailing threads!

And it's sort of a mix of the two. None of the ones I've posted are recent models but I am setting up my painting area again soon to make a start on that enormous backlog of models that live in my desk.

I plan on keeping this up to date with every miniature I get.
Unfortunately I don't have a facebook account so I can't see them

Sort of. About 4 years from 1990-1993 (which is why I get all teary eyed over the rogue trader era models) and then a break until a few weeks before my first post in this thread, although I did buy all the WHFRP V 1 & 2 stuff and Dark Heresy & Rogue Trader when they came out, but as for actual mini's there was a huge gap. Please do post when you have the chance. Thanks.

Nice work Labby, that's some lovely freehand, thanks for posting.

I screwed up the face on my sister of Battle, the paint dried on the brush a bit and a tiny bit came off onto the face and stuck there so I had to carefully pick all the paint off her face with a pin and then start on it again. Probably finish it tonight though, stay tuned.
