The average wii owner wasn't born when the N64 version came out so I don't see it making that much money based on nostalgia.

But part of me had held out hope that somehow, MAYBE they wouldnt shit all over the greatist FPS ever made (with the possible exception of Perfect Dark... And even THAT had the Complex Level in it!), so much for hope, right?
GoldenEye is hardly the best FPS ever made.
Like I said, with the POSSIBLE exption of Perfect Dark. :)

And seriously, I DARE you to find me a more classic and perfect shooter.

And dont even THINK about putting Halo or CoD down!
The first DOOM.

17 years later and its still a blast to play.

Of course they are in it for the money. Anybody with actual talent that could make a REALLY good game has already left Activision. It's no suprise that they want nothing good for gaming...

I applaud the guy for having the balls to say this.

This is a business. If you aren't being motivated by money in some shape or form, you're doing it wrong.

That being said, they should know that making a good sequel will yield more money, then a shit sequel.
Modern Warfare 2 made more money than Call of Duty 4...
And? What's your point?

Meh it's a shooter for the wii so it's not like it's going to be good anyway.
are you saying metroid prime was bad?
I never played it actually, but it's the controls that mainly tend to suck for shooter's on the wii. You aim by pointing at the screen but you also turn by pointing at the edge so you can't aim and turn at the same time which is frustrating.

I have played the GC Metroid and if it's anything like that game then though I agree it can be calssified as a "shooter" it focuses more on the puzzle and platforming elements. A game like The Conduit though (or this Goldeneye remake) will be focusing more on the shooting than anything else, and if the controls are just a copy paste of every other FPS on the wii, then it probably won't be any good.

But if you want to get it, by all means go ahead. I'm happy playing the original. In fact, I'm going to go beat Frigate now...

It. Has. Full. Classic. Controller. Support. You. Can. Use. A. More. Standard. Controller.

Can. You. Pig. Fuckers. READ?

Granted that not everyone has a classic controller pro. But there's a ZARKING BUNDLE FOR THAT. Jesus Christ.

Except for the ones who were gaming long before the mouth-breathing N64-worshiping lot raped my beloved hobby with their retardation.

The N64 sucked. Fuck that system, and its controller. Fuck them forever.

Insulting us with your condescending attitude has no place here. If you want to have an actual discussion and use your words let me know. If you want to be a troll then expect no more replies.
Oh, and yes I can read. Can you please use punctuation properly?

The controller is only one facet of why shooter's on the wii tend to be mediocre at best. Using a classic controller might solve some problems, but isn't the point of the wii to use the motion controls? I would much prefer they just programmed the controls properly for it, but the classic controller is better than no alternative I suppose.

From what I have read and seen about the game, it will be a Quantum of Solace Clone (Which is a clone in it's own right) but about Goldeneye. It might have a few nostalgic levels and motifs but it's hardly a remake really. I think most people were expecting/hoping it would be more like an updated graphical version of the game, but still based on the same engine, with online support (Like the Perfect Dark Remake on XBL). I guess we will see if it's worth playing when it is released anyway.

Most people in this thread just want to mindlessly shriek about how some sacred golden cow of their childhood being slaughtered. They couldn't even be FUCKED to look at the releases or info regarding the game.

Which is idiotic. And the one thing I can't stand are idiots. Talking down to them is merely a reasonable and expected response.

That's the way I work. If you say something stupid, I'll point out how stupid you are with a directly proportionate amount of hostility.
