i salute your xbox it is a shame i never got to play against it. it sounded like a mighty warrior and for that i salute your xboxjacobschndr said:I can honestly say I've had my xbox since the beginning. I got it a week after it debuted into the world and while all my friends xbox's got the infamous red ring of death mine was still kicking ass. I was really proud of the little old guy, never froze, never lagged (a lot anyway) just kept going, sometimes four to five hours even.
But alas, not more than an hour ago, I went to play it again and this time it never came on. Like a person who dies peacefully in their sleep, my 360 would never wake again *sigh and sob*
So good-bye friend, while we will never play games like bioshock 2 or the latest madden together, or going on killing sprees online to all the noobs in MewTwo, I will still have all the fond memories from the yester years. Farewell.
...
On a lighter note, those new 360 elites are pretty cool, with bigger harddrives and colored black, plus there cheaper than their former consoles. So in a way I'm saying good-bye to an old friend but then turning around to date his younger sister. YAY!
Is that seriously good for a 360? They're worse than I thought... My PS2, Gamecube, Wii, I could leave them on for over 20 hours and they still run fine. Yeah, I've done at least that to all of them. Still, I salute your 360. It lasted a good time. But that low life expectancy is why I'm looking at getting a PS3 first.jacobschndr said:sometimes four to five hours even.
Yeah but Microsoft isn't loosing $18 on every console. It means Sony is awsome for still selling then, and while the PS3 is a beast, it's not a practical money-making machine.s69-5 said:Mine has never failed me. But then again, mine is the 360's cooler, healthier cousin, the PS3. XD
Some of us don't waste our lives away playing games, 4-5 hours is good in my opinion, at least people like him have lives.Woodsey said:Not much of a trooper if it can only last 4-5 hours with no problems.
My PC can do (and probably has done) that no sweat.
eeee god i just loled XD nice one heheDirtyCommie said:Yeah. On the other hand the 360 is out getting layed and having fun while the PS3 stays at home reading batman comics.s69-5 said:Mine has never failed me. But then again, mine is the 360's cooler, healthier cousin, the PS3. XD
nooooo not an arse hole...i wasn't aiming that at you, i was just saying at least he has a life without playing games for like a full day, didn't mean anything aimed at you, was just stating, my badWoodsey said:Oh look, an arse hole.arc1991 said:Some of us don't waste our lives away playing games, 4-5 hours is good in my opinion, at least people like him have lives.Woodsey said:Not much of a trooper if it can only last 4-5 hours with no problems.

OT: my Xbox was also a trooper, but died in 2008, one minute before 2009, i was like arghhhh! got a new one which worked fine for about half a year then the Xbox decided that disks were evil and needed to be persuaded to use them...how i hated the laser in that piece of crap!
Now i have an Elite that kicks arse!!!!!
I have a life thanks. 4-5 hours isn't an impressive time.
People buy watches that go 3000m under water, it doesn't mean they're ever going to; they just like to know that they can.
that's probably what killed it, picked up a "virus" on one of it's nights out, screwing around with the frat boys and skanky ass Wii'sDirtyCommie said:Yeah.
