condemned!!

a great thriller thats acctually scares the shit out of you great story, voice acting(script),great atmosphere and good combat(even tough the combat can get a bit boring towards the end)

condemned 2 a plot that ruins everything, terrible voice acting(listen to ethan in this one he sounds terrible), the script seems like it was writting by a five year old with no mystery or dramatic scenes in the game.

they did make the combat a bit better but that makes up for nothing
Condemned 2 was more of an action game, but by improving the combat, it took away what made Condemned 1 scary: The sense of Vulnerability that you had. Also, it totally ruined the storyline...Damn you Monolith! You ruined Condemned!

I'd say FFX and FFX-2... FFX-2 made me lose faith in the FF series ><
FFX-2 would have been great... if you took out the stupid Charlies Angels J-Pop mentality and put in a real story. The Gameplay was top notch and the non linear quest system was a really fun way to do things.

Knights of the old republic, and then knights of the old republic 2. KOTOR2 wasn't a horrible game, but nothing could have lived up to the first one.
I played KOTOR 2 before i played the original and i thought the second was just as good. Yahtzee said it in is XBLA: double review better than i can.
So, you're saying that you played KotOR 2, and didn't think the last half-hour and unresolved plotlines sucked? What about the complete lack of resolution?
I was like 9 at the time so i didnt care about graphics and again 9 so i didnt care about plotlines. The point was that I thought they were equal not greater or less. Plus I thought the ending was brilliant and bone chilling. Seeing the ship fly away may not resolve the plotlines (what plot did you want answered by the way?) but it proved that there would be a third and now there is but its a MuhMorPuhGah!

Am I the only one who actually realized that the story was all BS and no substance before the last half-hour? I stopped expecting the game to deliver on any of it's build up about half way through, when it became apparently that they were making it up as they went along.

I found The Suffering to be amazing, but Ties That Bind, although I never finished it, was good but not nearly as good.

Although on a more inquisitive note, what made you like the first Far Cry more than the new one? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just curious is all.
It works
it works
IT WORKS!

In case you hadn't worked it out yet, my Far Cry 2 has suffered from amongst others the 69% glitch, the random unopenable door glitch, the car explodes for no apparent reason glitch, the falling through the level glitch and the unkillable assasination target glitch.

Far Cry has some minor glitches but it basically worked. It also had evil mutant monkies, a sense of humor, genuinely jaw dropping graphics, a mercenary in a cow boy hat, solid sneak'm'snipe gameplay and evil freaking monkies!

Although, t be honest my main problems with Far Cry 2 (besides the glitches) are that it ahs nothing to do with Far Cry and the level of hype that surrounds it. ar Cry sort of dropped fom the sky and it was great, Far Cry 2 was supposed to be this super awesome reboot of the franchise but it didn't quite quite quitequitequitequitequite...

I wasn't terribly impressed with Broken Sword 4, even though I rather liked 3. Sure, 4 had 90% fewer box puzzles, and then promptly broke everything else.

Red Alert 3 felt rather unnecessary in so many ways.

Dreamfall somewhat pales in comparison to the Longest Journey, though much of that comes from the fact the end is really just a series of cliffhangers which will probably never be resolved now that Age of Conan is bringing down Funcom(or so it seems).

Well, off the top of my head, I wanted the HK factory plotline resolved, because a good deal of exposition was about that. Also, I'd like if Kreia's turn wasn't obvious from the first time you talked to her. Also, looking at your first sentence, when did I mention graphics? Finally, you're right, the ending was bone-chilling, but can't compare to the ending to KotOR 1, where you actually felt like you accomplished something.

Gears of War 2. Nuff said.
you cannot compare GoW 2 with Gow 1, GoW 2 is almost the same game with more goodies and better and more gory graphics, or at least that's what I think

MGS 4(answering the thread)

Super Mario Sunshine, The main reason that people hate is because its predecessor, Super Mario 64, kept many of us from hanging ourselves.

Rome: Total War and Medieval 2: Total war, they were never quite as good as Medieval 1, it might just be me but, I thought to lay a siege you needed a damned supply line! I also preferred the water to have regions
