so i installed marvel vs. capcom 2 into my ps3, and now i remember the 2 reasons why i stopped playing so long ago: ultra cheap 1k hit combos with magneto, storm and sentinel, and the horrible, HORRIBLE music. i mean did capcom just half ass it that day in development or what? what other games out there that ended up with like a 3rd arm attached to it like this?

The leveling system in oblivion was blegh, but I don't play it for the combat, so that's not a major qualm of mine. The omnipotence of the guards on the other hand (along with only owning the console version >.<) is a big hindrance.
The community of nearly any online shooting or fighting game I've ever played had been just horrid, but that just comes with the territory. After my 5th or so shooter I lost the right to complain :[

Seriously, those driving sections sucked
I seriously didn't think those were that bad, they were actually really fun in my opinion...

But yeah. I'd go with Sonic Heroes, with its damn horrible voice acting. The game is actually pretty fun, the leveling system is rather interesting, but the voices of the characters just make me want to kill something. That fucking game made me hate Tails for the rest of my life.

I was fine with them... (really I was) controls were a little wonky, but I never felt they took enough time to warrant a complaint from me.

OT: A lot of good games will sometimes arbitrary "find enough money/stars/gold before you pass" sections. Grrr to those games!

Halo Reach.
Great game with a god awful matchmaking system.
It says "Matching players by skill", but i went 22/3 or better every match.
Its other feature is its epic ability to give you every game mode possible but the one you want.

I choose team slayer, it gives me, "SWAT", "Snipers, "DMRs only" or "None of the above".
I want to play team slayer. regular..... team..... slayer......
And then when it does come up, all the prepubecent MLG rejects pick "Snipers", and complain im a hacker because i have better aim then them.

Oh, oblivion.
One of my favorite games ever,
God awful animations. I love how every character looks me straight in the eyes, never breaking contact, only to speak in the same voice as the 4 people next to him.
And the gaurds. The gaurds annoy me to an extent i cant describe.

Deus Ex did NOT age well.
Neverwinter Nights 2 got good once you hit the expansion. Up until then, it was shit.

Star Wars: The Force Unleased. good game with bad to horrible camera and controls, would have been a 9.3 with fixed camera and controls (the suspension of disbelieve is at some times a little great).

Oblivion is fantastic, especially with juuust the right combination of mods (Might I suggest Chargeable spells and Oblvion Xp?)
But, in order to enjoy it properly, you kinda have to segregate yourself from society. The dull, world weary voice that literally everyone has, plus their creepy, staring faces and nonsensical conversations (Dude, as a guard, you are a threat to ME, champion of the world. You did NOT run away from a mudcrab) all remove any connection you could possibly have to Cyrodiil.

Sure, it's fun enough to keep playing regardless, but the problems are bad enough to, maybe, make you think twice about replaying it. I got through it by role-playing as a real person stuck in a video game, not caring who I screw over to get to the top. And I did screw them over, oh yes.

Also, even though it is only a minute part of the game, that one job part in Kingdom Hearts 2 pissed me off to no end. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can mostly skip it, but if you don't spend an hour doing the same fucking mini game over and over, you miss out on 2 AP.

Oh, right. Anyone play Space Station 13? Example of a FANTASTIC concept, stuck with a poor, laggy engine and possibly the worst community I have ever witnessed. I mean, it IS a SomethingAwful run game, but goddamn, the community is easily dickish enough to put you off playing. Forever.

Oblivion. Ever noticed how the beggars have completely different voices when they ask for money and when they talk about anything else... That gets on my nerves.

Okami is one of my favorite games... It would be nigh perfect. If it hadn't been for those god damn digging mini games... Good lord. Those minigames. I hated them with a passion. Jumps didn't go where you wanted them to go, Amaterasu suddenly grew the brain of a 4 year old and did whatever she pleased at some points. And the brush controls always seemed a little iffy(more so on the Wii) while this game.

The last remnant, it's brilliant, but the combat system [and on the xbox, the horrible load times] make me want to hit things. I would really prefer to be able to do more than just give a vague suggestion about what to do when the worlds fate hangs in the balance. [ "Hey uh... how about you go over there and heal them. You will? Great!" *minutes later* "Hey guys, I though you were gonna go heal them, not run face first into the giant dragon and get your faces melted off"]

Halo Reach's betrayal booting system. I love that game but there are too many scenarios where you may accidentily kill one of your teamates, (or your teamates seemingly go out of their way to get betrayed) and get booted for it. The whole problem could probably be solved if you had to betray your teamate(s) more than one time.
