THQ/Volition decided to strip down SR3. The whole game feels unfinished. They had a few nice missions but also a lot of filler missions were you are forced to play activities. This time it`s even just one storyline instead of three (even the first SR already had three). There are times when i got the feeling cutscenes are missing. So much content (fun activities and races) is missing. The new location looks nice at first but it`s really bland and boring. Where are all the buildings and clubs i can visit? I was only able to find 2 locations which is a joke. Where are the people playing guitar at a street corner or doing other stuff? There are tons of those little details they have thrown away. I guess it was easier to give the mascots at the store one extra animation for doing odd dances.
It`s like they sacrificed their own game for the sake of better graphics, more over the top (yeah, like 4 missions really standing out) and a purple dildo combined with a huge marketing campaign.
My problem is they had sucess with this and i bet they will keep it that way.
They caught me good with this one but next time it`s a rental first and given by the new direction i doubt that i will buy SR4 (or whatever they are going to call it).
While you can argue about writing, new direction, DLC, changed characters and striped down customization options (for the sake of better graphics) it`s undenieable that SR3 has less content than SR1 and 2.
