I'd have to say that GnR's cover of "Knocking on Heavens Door" is pretty damn shite. The way they play it really does not fit the lyrics and mood of the song. It's not supposed to be an epic rock ballad thing.

As far as a good cover goes, I really like Vader's "Raining Blood" I actually prefer it to Slayer's, it's a lot more brutal in my opinion.
