i pose two questions for you fellows.
firstly do you think gore is good or bad, and should it be implemented in games?
secondly, if you agree with me that gore belongs in games, why do games fail to make gore as it should be? fallout 3 has pretty realistic gore, heads explode and you can see eyes and bits of jawbone flying through the air.
but near the beginning of bioshock for example, a big daddy drills a splicer into a wall, and there is no gore save for a little blood, and no hole is left in the corpse.
is there any reason for this? can game developers not get away with it or is it for some other reason? any ideas?
