About this time of year last year I saw a cover band for The Beatles that I think was called The Fab Four. They did a really good job on both the songs and nailing the accents.

KISS in make up on thier 96-97 reunion tour. Totally ruled. That or Disturbed although they were touring with linkin park at the time. Linkin park is absoloutely horrible live, thier mixing is shite and i didnt see them just once but twice.

I went to see Warpaint only just two weeks ago, and they were incredible (the support was proper shite though, but whatever).

I am now a huge fanboy of the band. I was even planning on going back stage, and asking for a groupie job (with them being all girls and all). I predict that they will be huge in the years to come, especially because they played in Glastonbury, and they are scheduled to play at Reading as well later next month.

Also, it was quite funny (and a bit cheesy) when they brought out a birthday cake for the guitarist, and we all sung happy birthday to her, awww...

Good times, Good times!

(If you got tickets for Reading, you would be doing yourself a huge disservice for not listening to this incredible band.)

I went to Amanda Palmer in a burlesque club, called The Sugar Club, in Dublin about two years ago.
It wasn't the most epic, seizure-inducing show but it was a really nice intimate gig and at the end she came into the crowd and covered "Creep" on the ukelele.

I saw Muse. In Wembley. Last September. And it was AMAZING!!! They have crazy amounts of energy. It seemed like the slower songs were more for the audience/crowd to rest than the band.

Biffy Clyro were supporting. They were also awesome, but somewhat overshadowed.
/Thread right here...

No band or artist beats muse at live gigs..

I was also there, didn't see biffy clyro whoever that is.. Lily Allen was there and she was quite good aswell..

You've obviously never been to a Enter Shikari gig.

It's fucking nuts man! It even makes a Muse concert seem incredibly plain.

I don't even really like the band any more, but I must admit, their gigs are top notch stuff. Well, and truly something else entirely different, and a great experience. They even do human pyramids in some of their gigs.

I've seen a couple of great bands live, examples would be Alestorm, Finntroll, Heaven Shall Burn and Ektomorf.

One that really stood out was actually the first band I ever saw live, although I was at the place to see a different band, Jamaram. I'm talking about

Ragin' Diarrhea.
Sadly, there aren't any of their faster songs on Youtube, but I tell you: this band really gets you running. Normally, I'm not a person who enters the moshpit, but this time, I couldnt stop myself. Incredible, I will never forget it.

Haha, I've found songs on their homepage:

Album "Brainfruit", Track "Gogo Girlfriend".

U2.

Unbelievable in concert. Seen them on two different tours (in 1997 and 2010), and amazing shows on both occasions.

Electric Wizard. AWESOME!
I actually took out my ear plugs because I thought: "Fuck it, I drove 1100 kilometers to get here, I'm taking all this in!"

This isn't exactly a huge band, but I feel they're worth mentioning, a punk band called Anti-Flag. Their energy was unbelievable and the whole crowd, myself included (keep in mind that I don't usually listen to punk) responded in kind with circle pits, moshing, a hell of a lot of crowd surfing, and just the feeling of the whole damn place coming to life with unbelievable energy.
