Great games that no one but you plays.

Escapists, what games do you love that seem to go unrecognised for their greatness? Games that you play/have played a lot that seem to go unnoticed by the community?

For me, I guess it's AI War. It's an indy space RTS that's been mentioned here and there, but does not seem to get the attention it deserves.

Metal Arms was awesome its a shame it never got a bigger following especially can't believe how long the single player was.

Lets see what are some other games... I really enjoy the kings bounty games but I don't really know anyone else thats into them.
Otogi 1 and 2
oooooh! Phantom Dust awesome game.

Does anyone besides me play the Patrician/Port Royale series? Everyone's talking about Civ5, I'm content with Patrician 4.

Cave Story. It's free. It's easily completable in 10-20 hours. It was designed by one man over five years. It has three vastly different endings. Plenty of people play it but you have to look hard to find them.

James Bond: Everything or Nothing for the PS2. Great co-op fun if you can find a good partner.

Starlancer for the Dreamcast. Space dogfighter. Great controls, damn hard challenge, damn good game.

Looney Tunes Space Race for the Dreamcast. Cel-shaded racer with Looney Tunes style weapons (portable black hole, thundercloud-in-a-can, and of course falling anvils). 4-player split-screen fun.

It was awesome, I wait eagerly for the sequel... it won't come will it?
Ah, such an awesome game! I used to play that in local multiplayer loads with my brother and friends.

OT: Pariah was a great FPS for Xbox, nobody really played it though. The leaderboards were just full of the people who actually played it, which was only about 30 in total. Me, my brother and my cousin were all ranked in the top 5, and we played with number one every game. It was dope. The same goes for Unreal Championship 2, it's such a great fucking game even today, and yet nobody plays it.

Splinter Cell Double Agent online. Its not as detailed as Chaos Theory, and it sure as hell could do with more content, but its still one of the most fun online experiences I've ever had.

Shame about 6 people total play online regularly.

In all my (admittedly limited) time on these forums, I've found about 3 other people who know of Homeworld. So does that count?

Four people then! :D

I wish more people played it, the game is utterly freakin' brilliantly epically fantastically awesome in every way and has barely aged at all (despite being a venerable 11 years old). One of these days I'm going to write up the biggest, most gushing review of it ever in the User Reviews section and try to convince as many Escapists as possible to buy it, but that'll have to wait until my Reach fever has calmed down a little.

Five people!

Also, I'm still looking for someone to play Serious Sam: TSE Co-Op with. But nobody wants to :(
