The operatic and exotic score, the streaming dance of fighter-ships against prismatic nebulae, the tale of a people fighting against insurmountable odds to find a homeworld that may no longer exist...

Indeed, good sir, very much indeed.

I think we've now established that too many people like Homeworld to make it count for this thread. Bloody good thing, too. Homeworld is too brilliant to be unknown.

Well everyone seems to have forgotten about Hogs of War.

It was awesome, I wait eagerly for the sequel... it won't come will it?
Worms 3D came out ages ago.

If there's a great game I play, I share it with my friend and he plays. But it's just us two.

Team Buddies is one I've not seen mentioned. That was brilliant.

Escapists, what games do you love that seem to go unrecognised for their greatness? Games that you play/have played a lot that seem to go unnoticed by the community?

For me, I guess it's AI War. It's an indy space RTS that's been mentioned here and there, but does not seem to get the attention it deserves.
The Void,The Path, Pathologic, Scratches, American McGee's Alice, Alien vs Predator 2, Beyond Good and Evil, Freedom Fighters, Sniper Elite, XIII, Prey, Freelancer, Age of Mythology, Codename: Panzers Phase 1, System Shock 2, Sacrifice, SWAT 4, Getting Up: Content's Under Pressure, and of course Duke Nukem ForNever.

James Bond: Everything or Nothing for the PS2. Great co-op fun if you can find a good partner.
I freaking love that game! :D

OT: Everyone I know plays current-gen FPS games now, so I'll go with anything on PS2 that I have. I still love my PS2 dammit!

Chromehounds.
An old-school mechgame (not some armored core shit)on 360 with craptacular graphics, sucky AI and broken gameplay.
But damn it was awesome. Too bad they shut down the servers...

Blitzkrieg.
I have that, actually. I was not too impressed with it though. :/
Oh, well it is a fairly old game.. unless we're thinking of two different games with similar titles. At the time it was created, it allowed a very realistic and very strategic tank warfare game. Infantry were useful in wave tactics of sorts and the game had a awesome map editor, I.E. very little restrictions and a open script.

Snowboard Kids. GREAT N64 racer, i prefered it over Mario Kart 64 but as most poeple liked Mario Kart 64, they hadn't heard of Snowboard Kids
Oh hell yes. Wouldn't say it was better than Mario Kart 64, but it is an awesome game. I was always the fat one or the one with the bust nose.
