I'm surprised only 1 person has said The Wicker Man so far.

Also Brazil and Don't Look Now (Even though thats kinda differs on interpretation, same thing with The Wicker Man I suppose too).

Watchmen is the only one I can come up with

<spoiler=serious question under here>Why is he the bad guy when he saves the world?

Surely the small minded world leaders are the true bad guys as they relentlessly pursue a path towards destruction that leaves a good man no choice but to do something unspeakably evil. Or perhaps even the 'heroes' who put all their strength in maintaining the status quo that is spiralling the human race towards it's own extinction.

Ozzy didn't have much choice as the tanks were already rolling into Pakistan, in 'our' history that never happened, so who's to say where it would have ended without his intervention.

uphame the coward survies.
Upham's no coward, he's a typist, he was never expecting or trained to go into combat. All things considered he did pretty well.

The Dark Knight.

Revenge of the Sith - I don't care what anyone says, it was a very good film.

Primal Fear is a CLASSIC film where the bad guy truly wins, such a good ending too. Also, I guess if you qualify Riddick as a 'bad guy' then Pitch Black and the Chronicles of Riddick. It's a little grey, because these days anti-heroes seem to be more popular than 'good guys'.

The following movies too;

- Braveheart
- Invasion of the Body Snatchers
- The Descent
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
- Dawn of the Dead
- Inside Man
- Secret Window
- The Wicker Man
- Match Point
I am not so sure about Braveheart. It depends how you look at it. Henry Longshanks really didn't win. I think Princess Isabelle may have come out on top on that one.

Also, you could look at One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest that Mwako Cumbuka's "Warren" character won. Just because the hero dies doesn't mean the bad guys win.

Night of the living dead?`

Then again, even if all the main characters gets killed off, they sort of manage to clear out the zombies. Oh, and Dawn of the Dead too now that I think about it. Hmm, 28 weeks later aswell.. Zombies really know how to win, don't they?

Dr. Horrible's Sing A long Blog.

Although you could have a serious discussion about who the good or bad guys really are. Or about who actually won in the end.
Good point, though i think Dr.Horrible did win...its just that billy did not

Would Fight Club count?
Ehr, no.. I mean yes, uff.. Tyler Durden wins technically. Then again, he manages to kill, eh.. Himself? I suppose that depends on your view on multiple personality disorders.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

...sorry.

OT: Hannibal (The sequel to Silence of the Lambs) and The Crucible. As much as I f'kin hate it, that probably counts, if I remember correctly.
What's so funny? Wicker Man is a very good movie.

Are you talking about the 1973 classic "The Wicker Man" or the crappy 2006 "Not the bees" remake?

Dr. Strangelove. Crazy American general sends bombers to nuke Russia, U.S. and Russia scramble to stop the planes and prevent war, one bomber makes it to its target and BAM, nuclear holocaust.
That is definitely going in the final list of Great Bad Guy Wins Movies!

There was a remake in 2006? I didn't hear of any "remake"...
