TRIIBES!
oh, my god, I loved that game to no end, and ran a crazy modded server a while back.
I'm happy that the player run master server is still working 0_0
Maybe you would support the letter writing campaing to get it on Steam? =)
oh? Sure, why not?

Kingdom under fire: the crusaders, and kuf: Heroes. Not the new one, it sucked.
All the red factions.
Conflict: Global terror (definatly not the new one)
Battlefront 2 was great if you had 4 friends and wanted to do conquest.
Freedom Fighters for xbox was probably the funnest all around game ever, if anyone played it.

Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obsceura (Epic free flowing RPG, mostly non-linear, PC)
Dungeon Keeper 2 (Wicked Sim that defies description, PC)
[Baldur's Gate 2:] Shadows of Amn (RPG, PC)
Fallout 1&2 (Non-Linear Post Nuclear RPG, PC)
Crono Trigger (Fantastic RPG, SNES)
Super Mario RPG (fun colorful Mario RPG, SNES)
I'd disagree with these being under rated, all did quite well and a few of them are trotted out as some of the finest examples in their genre

was this the expansion version of castlevania 64? If its the one im thinking of, then yes, everyone hated it. I LIKED castlevania 64 tho.
No, Curse of Darkness was for the PS2. IDK what you're thinkin' of, but nothing (save Mario and Bomberman) with 64 in it's name was good, as far as I know (Superman, anyone?)

On-Topic: Another I thought of is Final Fantasy Tactics. I heard so much bad stuff about this game (all after I got it, so I was untainted), that I could scarcely fuckin' believe it. I know some love it, some hate it, me being one of the former, but it seems under-rated cause it went against the grain. No turn-based systems, but traversable maps for battle? "Blasphemy" cryed the preacher, hand in-coffer. But it had so many classes! Birthsigns, abilities, monsters! It was great! Great, says I!

"The Darkness," PS3/360 game based on the DC graphic novel of the same name. Its narrative and length are both wonderful! I got it, like a month after release, used for 20 bucks. I was surprised! I got sick (lasted 6 days), and I played that game all the way through my illness. 6 days of playing that game, hour after hour, experiencing the most narrative bang for my buck. It's a beauty to play! Granted, it's another FPS, but it's easy to look past that. :) It shines so much-- to much, to get hung up on the fact it's a FPS.

Mirrors Edge. I enjoyed it the first time through back in November, and I still find myself playing it from time to time. I have no idea why the game appeals to me so much, it just does.
I'll agree with you on that. Many people act like it's one of the worst games in the world, but it's pretty good fun. Except for speed runs. Balls to those.
Concurance! The speed runs make me upset. But the gameplay, story, and atmosphere make me feel so wonderful. I want to be so active when I play the game. I turn it off just to go work out. :D

They did quite well in their time, but most gamers today have never even heard of most of them, so they're under rated today.

Brave Fencer Musashi. Inventive characters, and interesting take on an otherwise chilche plot (save the princess, eh Mario?) Great, nay, immaculate game! But the sequel... DAMN YOU SQUARE-ENIX!!! Just die already!! *Sob sob*
I feel your pain. I bought the Samurai Legend too, at least the Gainax FMVs were good, right?

On Topic:
Gurumin for the PSP, actually a game very similar to Musashi.

Square Enix will never die, half their fanbase watches the Jonas Brothers for crying out. There's nothing you can do to lose that kind of fan base.

Damn, that's right. Sorry, I had the wrong midset when I said that. Those games WERE epic, I was just thinkin' of Superman... *Shudder*

Fianlly, someone who understands! 'Cept I dunno' what Gainax is. I'll hafta' Wiki that...

Oh, and I don't think I've heard enugh about X-Com. Hard as fuck, but in-depth and strategic. It made one think hard about money-management (which I never did) and prepare before plunging into the dark (which I did). But the Terrorist Sites! *Mumble* Fuckin' aliens jumpin' out and shooting me in the face! *Mumble*

I really enjoyed Dino Crisis on PS1. For when it was made, it was (in my opinion) as "make you jump out of your chair" as the first RE. Lots of blood & gore, but not enough ammo...

Earth Defense Force 2017 One of my favorite games on any system, but then I'm a sucker for giant enemies and massive armies to fight so it's a match made in heaven.

Company of Heroes.

A game that got generally good to very good reviews, one of the most unique RTS games with amazing graphics even 3 ways later now, but has sold less than a lot of other worse games.

Titan Quest, seriously, this was one very sharp Diablo Clone, and one of the best in the genre, but, it got badmouthed to hell and back before release by f---ing pirates with a shoddy crack that didn't work reliably.

Agreed, I think my brother still is annoyed at me for constantly playing the game with the song "You know what they do to guys like us in prison" by my chemical romance, that or savior from good old Rise against.

but ya its been how many months and I'm still playing it now

Better yet do free running (thats the type of movement that the game is based around, it invirgorating) I have to agree Mirror's Edge was underated, extemely hyped yet died with a wimper. There were really only some "flow" issues in the game.

Never played Diablo, but I must say I did like Titan Quest a fair bit, the online needed some work but it wasn't half bad, I would like it if they try and redo it soon, just revamp the graphics and gameplay mechanics but still keep the whole mytholocgical feel.

I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned one of the most under-rated consoles ever, the sega dreamcast. I'm sorry but this thing was pure gold when it came out, it was an impressive machine for the time and it didn't penny pinch when it came to games, HELL I even remember the last sonic the hedgehog game I ever liked was on this system, not the crappy version they have of it now on the gamecube
