That is one of my FAVORITE games. It is the only castlevania game I have played, and I heard it wasnt good. But its SO fun. I could go on forever about the things I like about the gameTo-Chi VIII said:... Oh, and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. I never heard much about this. I assume (if incorrectly) that it wasn't too popular, but in my opinion it's ne of the best Castlevanias I've played.
I freiking love you.Emphraim said:Company of Heroes.
A game that got generally good to very good reviews, one of the most unique RTS games with amazing graphics even 3 ways later now, but has sold less than a lot of other worse games
Hmm. When I first got it, I found it really confusing and stopped after first couple of levels. I played it again a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It does have the weakest ending in the history of storytelling and I didn't even know what the story was going on about apart from framing her sister and runners being the few good people but everyone hates them. But you know what, the freerunning was alright once you got into it.UnkeptBiscuit said:Mirrors Edge. I enjoyed it the first time through back in November, and I still find myself playing it from time to time. I have no idea why the game appeals to me so much, it just does.
I'm assuming they gave it a no. They seemed to have no love for the game even when it was still a past of them. It's too bad too. If they even found a way to keep it down with monthly subscription prices of even free, it would take away the hardcore crowd from a lot of games with it's PvP.Valentine82 said:I pitched this to Ubisoft, that a Remake of Shadowbane with Instanced missions and modern graphics and anti-hacker protections would really do well. The only reason Shadowbane fell is because of it's age/dated graphics and because they didn't know how to prevent hacking in MMO's back then.Gabes said:Thank you sir, I'm glad someone else knew this game's greatness. If it was remade with the same kind of complex class system, guild battles and extremely open pvp but somehow combined with say a Guild Wars type campaign on the side, oh magical things could happen. WoW would pale and wilt next to it.Valentine82 said:Shadowbane (Sadly Obsolete one of a kind MMO, PC)

That said, from reviews and what I've heard (I've never played any of the items on this list [my loss for being so young, I guess]), Chrono Trigger isn't so much underrated as underapreciated. Also, the Fallout series is underrated? I never got that impression they were. Granted you are talking about the older games, so you probably have a point there. (on a se related note, Fallout has been on my hard drive for hard drive for a while now and I still haven't got aroud to playing it.)Valentine82 said:*snip*
OT: I haven't heard many people showing the love for Psychonauts or No More Heroes. Those aren't really underrated, but the sort of critic's darlings that get great review but don't do so well commerically. I also feel a lack of love for LoZ Majora's Mask too.
EDIT: I totally forgot these;Tales of Symphonia, Banjo-Kazooie (the whole series really) and PaperMario 2. No one ever mentions the games, but they were amazing.
Sadly yes, this is the impression I got. They gave me a big non-answer, but it was clear that just like EA with Dungeon Keeper 3, they have no intention of ever exploiting the overwhelming potential of such a title because it seems too risky. I wish some other MMO developer would buy the rights and do it, or make a game like it with all the racial diversity of player classes and open world PvP and player made Kingdoms and what not.Gabes said:I'm assuming they gave it a no.
