Lol, Turkey, you so crazy.

About the Turkey into EU debate; According to this, it seems like they need to sharpen up gun control quite a bit, or I don't want to open up borders with them in the least.

Is this guy that stupid to shoot a gun he doesn't know how to use and bring it to his wedding? The wife must be pissed! The guy deserves a darwin award.

I read that U.S. troops in Baghdad get beneath cover after soccer games for precisely this reason. What goes up must come down.

Wow sure is xenophobic in here.
Nothing to do with xenophobia, we have idiots like that in Serbia as well and yes, both countries are quite notorious for acting like that (not saying everyone does, merely that it's more common than in some other countries), not a matter of prejudice/xenophobia, merely culture/customs.

And yeah, the guy's an idiot. I bet he fired it with one hand wanting to be cool. Thing is though, even if he shoots all the bullets directly into the air, it's still dangerous as the bullets might hit someone on the way down. Sadly, some morons are under the impression that if a bullet doesn't hit anything on it's initial path, it disappears >.>

Also, I love "if we're all supposed to be "human" and equal and all that idealistic and politically correct bullshit". You think equality and "being human" are too "politically correct"?
Yes. Or rather this so called "intristic human value"-talk that every idealistic little prick tend to bring up. The only thing humans have in common is that they're all equally worthless piles of biological waste as anything else.

But for some reason, some of us manages to put a stop to idiots firing ak47:s at weddings. Not just individually but collectively.

So what fucking excuse could the turks have in this matter?

Oh That Dude said:
And because they haven't restricted it enough yet? Just means their systems/politicians/etc etc ad nauseam aren't as good. Doesn't give you or anyone else the right to judge the people who have little to no power over the law.
Politicians can only rule if the people let them rule over them. If the people were actually smart enugh to see through their wicked ways they should rebell against their politicians. But they don't.

Didn't they try this out on mythbusters and concluded that bullets falling don't pose a lethal threat to people standing under them when they fall down?

I think you forgot this
As for the story: That guy's an idiot, and I have to wonder how the hell he injured so many before he let go of the trigger?

That wouldn't surprise me, but I'm still sure it's not very pleasant.

Firstly, who gave him a gun.
Secondly, who gave him a loaded gun with real bullets (and not blancs)
Thirdly, who made it an automatic gun.

I'm not sure who was stupid here, the guy with the gun or the people who gave it to him.

Note to self...If I attempt this, make sure the gun is loaded with blanks.

*I probably wouldn't try this. The cops might object. Scratch that, they WOULD object.*

Turks are notorious for breaking out into gunshots to celebrate weddings and sports victories, a practice that has caused many deaths and which authorities have so far failed to curb.
To me, this is probably the worrying part. Dear God I hope the don't join the EU and get protected by all sorts of treaties that allow this to carry on.

Well then. Someone give Turkey some copies of Modern Warfare 2: digital AK-47s are much less dangerous.

But ak47s are lvl 70 only, what idiot would want to play that long?

HAHAHA! That is hilarious.
Your sitting up in heaven, chatting about how you died and the guy next to you says "Yeah man, I was storming Omaha and the machine gun had us pinned down, so I ran out to draw it's fire and although it shredded me, my squad made it." Then the guy next to him says "I was a firefighter and and I ran back into the burning building to save a crying baby and just as I tossed the baby out the door to another person, the building collapsed on me"
And you look around all awkward and and say "Well... I was at a wedding and the groom had an AK and I got shot when he lost control of it..." Then the other two guys stare at you and you go and weep in a corner.
