Well, I don't get angry much, so, I don't....................

During my brief time at the Escapist, I've noticed that, on the whole, you are all pretty calm, reasonable, and logical people, who are open to new ideas and opinions.
Yeah, we're a welcoming community...........so like I was saying......

Thk13421 said:
Except when you're not.
Hm?............Pardon?......

Thk13421 said:
The fact is: you're all people, and as such, you get pissed off from time to time. And courtesy of the internet, you can voice your anger very strongly.
.....why would you.......

Thk13421 said:
So the question is this: What turns you, a reasonable and intelligent person, into a frothing ball of hate and rage?
................................ffffff

...........Just kidding. :p

I dunno, I try to keep my cool as much as possible. I know stupidity and hate are often not welcomed. It varies I guess.

As long as I stay away from the religion and political forums...what is there to get mad about? OMG SOMEBODY LOVES DRAGON AGE...THIS MAKES ME SOOOO ANGRY!!!!!!!lol
Somebody said CSS was worse than TF2. GGRRRRR. RAGEQUIT.hahaha. Only thing that angers people on forums is people who don't know how to quote and who post a thread that's posted every week by somebody else.

I'm a very calm and far from aggressive person. Usually if I can avoid a fight, I will, but what gets me steaming is when men abuse women or generally when strong people pick on weaker people.

Doesn't even have to be physically. Like at a festival when drunk pigs shout at women, usually in the line of "Hey, show us your tits! No? Why not? Whore!" or "Want to suck my ****?". My friends don't understand when I get into a frenzy because of this, because "it's a festival, relax, it's just part of the experience". For some reason I just can't stand it.

Not much, but the only things that really get me pissed are campers and censorship. Anyone who feels they have a right to decide what other people are allowed to think about is just... wrong. People who sit in corners with grenade launchers are just as bad.

The ignorant, selfish A holes at school that only think about themselves and make me loose all my hope in humanity. I have to live with them every single day.

Hate and rage, huh... I'm usually level-headed, but there are TONS of things that set me off:

The whole "It's just a game" thing really grinds my gears. Probably because I know that it's true, but gaming is the ONE thing that I can take pride in, and loss really crushes it.

Also, I tend to lose it when my kleptomaniac, and HIGHLY DESTRUCTIVE, siblings use things that belong to me. It's less that it's the thing that they've taken, but that they haven't asked me if they could, no matter how many times I tell them to.

Speaking of other people, I hate it when people don't understand that I like my privacy. From where my computer is now, people look at what I'm doing every time that they walk by. I do not like that at all, and I frequently minimize what I do everytime I hear footsteps. I frequently seclude myself from the rest of the house in my dad's office just to use the computer without anyone spying.

Crowding, as well. If I don't have enough room to spread my arms and spin until I fall down, I'm not going to like it. This goes the same with objects, too; I need enough room on my desk to have anything that I'd ever want, AND the space to use any amount of them at once, then I start feeling crowded.

Opinions are a touchy subject with me, as well. I believe that an opinion cannot be wrong, just the facts that it is based on can be, unless it is stated as an undeniable fact. Then, I think, it should be treated as such.

It's the listening thing that really kills me about that last one. Sometimes, like now, for instance, I just want to talk, and nobody will listen. Usually it's just brought on by rage or someone bringing up a touchy topic.

I also hate being forced into competition in school activities, especially when it's something that I'm not good at, which is everything except video games and anything that involves time constraints.

... As well as most variants on these.

Cynicism and Misanthropy.

Answer me this, Mr. Cynic, if you never look forward to ANYTHING, and you generally don't like other people, why live? You seem to really have no reason to go on, and all your doing is dragging the rest of us down.

now ofcourse I would never tell anyone to go kill themselves, that's horrible, but you get my point.

Actually, I never feel hate or rage, and I never start telling everyone how angry I am, or anything like that.

I guess I'm not "people" then :D (Yes, I see that as positive, since "people" generally are full of hate and rage every now and then. Besides, people annoy me. xD)

People who insist on having opinions on things they no nothing about (playing PC Games makes you violent, all anime is porn, etc).
I try and discuss issues with people and try to come to an aggreement, but people like this (who generalize, stereotype etc) can't be argued with. They think they are right, but know little about the subject.

Getting spawnkilled in games gets me the angriest. It's against my principles as a game and human being to ragequit, so I usually get spawnkilled very many times, if a spawnkilling festival happens to start.

Otherwise, I don't really get mad easily. I can get really annoyed sometimes, though. Yesterday I posted in a thread about 1337% of pi being 42. I said that it was a bit over 42, making this kinda insignificant. After that I got quoted maybe 20 times with pretty much each person just saying "meh, close enough". I replied to couple of the first ones with 42 being the answer to everything, it has to be pretty much exactly 42 and not over 42, but since nobody bothered to read further, I was receiving new messages every other second. That was getting on my nerves a bit.

What does it to me is...humanity in general. I have no problems with people online most of the time, in fact, even friends I have in town have said I'm a much more understanding and easy-going person online than in person.

You flatter us! To much kindness!

And I guess ignorance, idiocy and cynic. I don't get to angry though I get upset that their are people out there with that sort of attitude
