A Dan Wesson .357
A Wlther P22
And a Remington 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum.
All very fun to shoot.
Next gun I'm going to get will be some kind of Semi-Auto rifle.

What are the legal restrictions on firearms in the UK? Living in the middle of the US I have little to no knowledge of the regulations in other countries. I had thought the UK was rather restrictive on not only what you could buy but where you could keep it. I did read a bit on Germany and they seemed to have about the same allowances as the States, they just required a permit for each gun.

Edit: Nagants are great, the trouble is buying them is a crapshoot on bore quality. Especially online. Fantastic shooters if you get a good one though.
Amen to that. Had to visit a few shops til I called on a friend's store. He let me inspect every Mosin he had. The new ones coming out of Eastern Europe now are good too - cheap, reliable, good shots and not covered in that god-awful preservative.

a barricade RV-10
a barrel break IX-2
2 Recon CS-6s

Hehe, I see what you did there.
In terms of Nerf, I own an Alpha Trooper, Strikefire and Maverick. As for actual firearms, I'm currently underage, and am planning to obtain a license upon my eighteenth birthday.
My dad, uncles and grandfather used to use M1 Carbines in their time in the People's Self Defence Force before the Communist takeover.

Got to be kept in a strong metal cuboard with more than one lock, ammo must be kept seperate, firing pins must be removed whilst stored to until you use it, no pistols unless they have ludicrously long barrels, no detachable mags beyond .22 sized rifles, larger rifles must be single shot. And we don't have grandfather clauses.

Let me start off by saying I neither intend nor desire for this to become a debate on the merits and flaws of gun control legislation. There is already a healthy thread going for that debate.

To those of you in the Escapist community who are gun owners, what do you currently have in your collection? What are some that you would like to own? Any particular preferences?

For those too young to own firearms in your locale, what about your parents/grandparents collections?

Personally, at this point and time (if the thread gets interesting there may be photos in the future)I own the following in absolutely no particular order.

Mauser K98k - 8mm Mauser
Savage Axis - .270 Winchester
US Issue M1 Carbine - .30 Carbine
Winchester 1200 - 2 3/4" 12 gauge
Winchester model 68 - .22
Colt 1911 - .45ACP
Beretta 92FS - 9mm

I have often found that there are few things as stress relieving as a day at the range. I started shooting when I was 6 years old with my father and have loved it as a hobby ever since.
It look to me more like you own most of your guns as a collector, rather then because it makes you feel safe.

My uncle owns a Mauser K98k as well he also has a newer model of the svt 40 (I think that's what he told me.) A winchester. There is something else as well but can't remember.

Yes, I am not a gun buff.

I don't own any guns. I don't need guns and I don't want them. Kind of scarry for me to read how many of you own guns and some of you own a lot of guns. I personally can't get into that kind of thing but whatever it's your choice...

I don't own any firearms, but one of these days, I'm going to treat myself with a GAU-8 Avenger [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAU-8_Avenger].

One of these days, I tell you, one of these days...

- vz-58 (czech made assault rifle. kind of like a pimped up ak47) civilian version, reconverted to full auto when i got my fa-permit.
- glock22 for self defense purposes (though i'll most likely switch. small hands and overall small statue make this thing a tad to big for me)
- m24-system with zeiss scope (couldn't get my hands on an affordable leupold m3. for completion purposes, the zeiss is actually superior)
- m99 (i just wanted something big, ok? xD )

used to own a mosin nagant rifle, sold it though. those things are really cheap here in the eastern european states, you practicly get them thrown after you.

my sister has a bunch of american stuff our grandfather nicked from u.s. soldiers he killed in ww2 (yes, we are czech, and jewish, and still one of our grandfathers was drafted into the wehrmacht. appearently they really ran short on dudes at some point^^) but i'm not sure what exactly, she just keeps it in the basement.

I don't own any weapon expect a broken BB pistol from the 70's. But my uncle got a fully working Kalashnikov and a Yugoslavian Mauser copy witch is fully working and my grandpa got a dubble-barrel shotgun and that's about it from my part of the family but I've fired real weapons on firing ranges many times and I've handled the Kalashnikov and I fucking love it... I even plan to buy a Kalashnikov than I'm 18, they cost about 36000 Swedish crowns. They are also perfectly legal if they are plugged and it's easy to change the barrel!

I don't own any at the moment but my father has a few of them:

A generic bolt action .22
A replica Colt Navy that fires a .22
An authentic Mosin-Nagant

As for a wishlist, well, I'd like a few things:
HK 33
USP .45
FN FS2000
FN Five-seveN
Lee-Enfield SMLE
and a few others, but I can't think of them right now.

Well, I live in Britain, so none.

Despite being pacifist and completely anti-gun though, I would love to have a Colt Woodsman Target, if I ever moved to America/some other gun friendly country, something about it just really appeals to me.

The only gun I've owned/family have owned however was.... some form of 6 shot double action revolver. Don't know what type it was, not even what make. One of my not so great uncles left it with my family when he moved away. Kept for self-defense for a while by my grandparents then threw it away when they decided it was more trouble than it was worth.
