I've got a .68. I mostly use it for shooting people.

:p

More OT, I really enjoyed a S&W .357 and a Sig P226 that I fired at a range with some friends. I don't trust myself enough with implements of destruction to actually buy one, though. If I ever more out to the countryside, I might reconsider.

Another difference between the SS190 duty rounds and the SS197 sporting rounds is that the SS190 has an aluminum core, steel penetrator, and a velocity about 500 fps greater than the SS197. While the SS190 produced by FNH has been banned, a company called Elite Ammunition has developed a civilian legal 5.7 round with results equivalent to that of the SS190. http://eliteammunition.com/catView.php

I have 2 weapons of choice right now, haven't got my rifle on me at the moment.
My favorite easily is my Taurus 24/7 Pro .40 cal handgun. The grip on it is so squishy it fires real nice.

Then there's the old trusty Remington pump 20 gauge, have had this one since I was a young'n and she hasn't failed me yet.

You all knew that I would eventually find my way here, right?

I have a top 5 since I can't choose, and I only have photos of two, so this will be easy.

1. My Ruger 10/22. It was my first rifle EVER and I loves it SOOOOOOOOOOOO much!

2. My AR-15. I've been working on it for a good many years, and it is accuratem reliable, and a TON of fun to shoot!

3. My M1 Garand. I just got it, and it is the whole reason I began collecting firearms - I wanted an M1 for as long as I can remember. Sadly, I don't have a photo of it yet. :(

4. My Five-Seven. It kicks ass!

5. My Mosin Nagant 91/30. It's a piece of junk, has no blueing, bleeds laquer in direct sunlight, and rattles when I carry it, but it is loud, kicks like a mule, and hits exactly where I point it. It was also my first high-powered rifle!

Honorable mention: My Swiss K-31. It is quite possibly one of GREATEST bolt-action rifle designs EVER made and it is accurate as hell!

EDIT: Oh, and I bought them all because I am somewhat of a collector and a self-declared historian. Once upon a time, I decided I wanted to collect rifles from both WWI and WWII, and I kinda got carried away. ;)

Wow, sure has been a while since someone has bumped the this thread....

Anyways, I'm happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a beautiful new WASR-10.
my only peeve with the gun right now is the grip, which I'll be replacing with a more ergonomic one as soon as I can scrape up up the money.

This really old .22. I don't even know the model(I don't have it right now), but the thing is around 100 years old and was originally owned by my great-grandfather. Surprisingly, it is really accurate and in superb condition. My guess is that it is probably not worth too much, though.

Hey guys, I think it's just about time to give this thread a *bump*.

Anyways, since I last posted my WASR has gone through quite the tactical makeover.
I plan on replacing the stock with composite one next. I'd love to get a Romanian wire-folder, but the NY AWB is a real *****.

So far I've added:
-Hogue ergonamic pistol grip
-UTG ergonamic smart foregrip
-Tapco Intrafuse sling system.
-Midwest Industries AK47/74 Handguard quad-rails
-UTG rubber rail guards
-Tapco AK slot muzzle brake (putting it on tomarrow)

Sorry about the bad pictures, I'll probably upload some high-quality ones in a few days.

Gotta say, that looks pretty sweet! The black is way prettier than the sand-colored wood, lol.

.22s can be some of the best guns you can get. They're cheap, (generally) reliable (dependent on ammo), easy to take care, and their ammo is also cheap, and they can be very accurate at mid-to-short range.

Have to say it guys: Excellent zombie gun!

Now that THAT'S out of the way: A 100 year old .22 MIGHT be worth something. Be interesting to see it on the Antique's Roadshow. (Yeah, okay, I DO watch that show...)

I love my Sig Sauer P226 chambered in .40 S&W, it is the sex.
I've heard the SIG handles recoil a little strangely (I THINK that was the complaint...), but then the person that was coming from was firing a Glock, a Springfield XD, a Kimber 1911, a Sig (I think 226, but not sure), and Beretta M9. The Glock and the Kimber were his favorites by far, but he liked the Sig way more than the Beretta. Hated the Beretta...

Huh, never known anyone to own a FiveSeveN, how does it shoot? I can't get myself past the pictures of the exploded one to so much as pick one up. Maybe for airsofting, to have something a little different, but not a real one... Plus, they and their ammunition is a tad on the expensive side. :-/

And yeah, gotta love Nagants! Helluva lotta fun to shoot, and accurate as hell.

Also: Wow, this thread's hit the 10,000 views mark. =D

In the process of getting a Remington 7615 pump action rifle. I recently got my Victorian Catorgory A+B Longarms license.

Also if I had a lot of money I'd buy a blaser R93, its a straight bolt pull rifle, with an ingenius system of interchangeable barrels and bolt heads, along with some other awesome features. Essentially it could be the only rifle you ever need to own using everything from .17 rimfire to .338 Lapua Magnum.

I wouldn't mind a Winchestor 1887 lever action shotgun either.

I like the Saiga 12. It's got the same functionality of the AK series of rifles and outstanding reliability. Low recoil and outstanding accuracy (for a shotgun). The modification possibilities are nearly endless. A soldier with one of these is definitely a force multiplier on the battlefield.
For personal/civilian use, it's a great hunting shotgun. It's nearly idiot-proof so the most novice of hunters and target shooters can have fun shooting it for the first time.

I would NOT mind a Saiga, I've gotta say! Actually, neither would a good half of my family... Their great shotguns (and rifles actually).

I DID say airsoft guns were okay to add to this thread, right? If for nothing other than wishful thinking? I'm pretty sure I did...

If I didn't, I AM retroactively, so I can show off the early modification of an JingGong MP5A4 I'm attempting to cyber-punk.

It's going to get a four-railed forend soonish.

The Five-Seven is THE most accurate handgun I have ever fired (short of a highly modified Browning Buckmark that I fired a few years back). As for the exploded gun issue, that was caused by two problems. The first (and foremost) cause of the explosion was that the shooter was using reloaded ammo. The 5.7x28mm round is like a 40S&W. If you seat the bullet .001mm too deep and use 1 grain more powder than you should - BLAM! It's a sensitive round and should NEVER be reloaded. Besides, reloading ammo voids your warranty if something should ever happen to your $1000 handgun. It's not a risk I will ever take. The second cause of the malfunction and blast was that it was an older model of the pistol that is characterized by a bulge in the trigger guard and a fixed rear sight. It is an older design that could possibly fire out of battery, but the rumors that it happened more than once have yet to be proven, and that leads me to believe that those scary pictures are a single incident caused by the carelessness of the operator of the firearm.

I have NEVER had a problem with my Five-Seven aside from the fact that a broke my front sight loose and a holster that was not made for the gun. It still shoots like a dream, and it's not too much more expensive to feed than a .45ACP. The rounds are about $25 for 50 rounds. That's not too bad considering the cost and scarcity of .45ACP.

.45ACP's a little easier to get where I'm from I guess. Eh. I'm just not a fan of FN Herstal's PDW movement (but I've mentioned that before and won't go into it again, as it's an entirely personal view).

Anyways, glad you've got a gun you love!

I always hear about people having old Mosin Nagants. You're so lucky. I wish I had one of those.

I wish I had any gun. When I legally can I think I'll buy a nice pistol, just to have and shoot. Any suggestions?
Mk.23 Socom, shoots a large .45acp, has a 12 round mag, and is match grade(precision).
The problem with the SOCOM (And any HK pistol, really), is the fact that they're just a little bit expensive. The last one I saw for sale in person was... What? $2200? probably a little more.

You can get the USP Tactical (in .40S&W with threaded barrel and extended magwell and extended sights) for LESS than half the price.

The Mk.23 Mod 0 is a very cool gun though.
