Go with Source - more stable for modern hardware. Or just wait an indefinite length of time for Black Mesa.Woodsey said:Hmmm... Might take a look then.Megacherv said:I play in widescreen on Half-Life: Source, and that works fine, as it has the same treatment as on all Source gamesWoodsey said:don't want to buy off Steam as I now have a widescreen and the res fucks every game over 5 years old up
Erm... The Orange Box doesn't contain Half Life X/Flamezdudes said:Seriously? The Half Life graphics are great, i see no problem with them and i only just got The Orange Box.DominicxD said:I'm sorry, but after playing games with gorgeous graphics from the modern day then playing Half Life you have to wonder what all the fuss is about.
I can appreciate that this game would have been really amazing like 10 years ago when it was out, but how the fuck am I supposed to enjoy that?
Half Life 2 and the Episodes, on the other hand, were a pretty enjoyable experience all round.
Wise words my man.tellmeimaninja said:Have you payed attention to this forum? Half the people here worship Valve. No good Valve-worshipper hasn't played at least one, if not all of those.
i still enjoyed them though, especially the bits where you saw bits from HL1...that was cool...A Pious Cultist said:What about deathmatch, blue-shift and opposing forces? (although the latter two were made by different companies)wootsniper said:you mean like... all the 4 H-L games?

But I don't think that will happen.

This is because Half-Life is so fucking kickass that you can't have played it and not be a Valve whore.WrongSprite said:Yeahh, a lot of gamers haven't played those.
APART FROM EVERY FUCKING VALVE WHORE ON THIS FORUM
Me. Unless you count playing the demo of Half-Life 2 for a few minutes. I frankly can't see what all the fuss is about. I've never been a big FPS fan, other than when it comes to the Left 4 Dead series and Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault, and puzzles put me off.Woodsey said:Who's a PC gamer and hasn't played the Half-Life games?
You've clearly never met me.Ekonk said:This is because Half-Life is so fucking kickass that you can't have played it and not be a Valve whore.WrongSprite said:Yeahh, a lot of gamers haven't played those.

I have, but...urm..
Thanks anyway...
EDIT: And I might as well mention that I've never met a single hardcore PC gamer who hasn't played at least one of those games.
