Im pretty sure thats it, didnt get to play elites that much, only in two games where we just got restricted to the dodge perk. Im assuming elites will be able to use camo once the invasion playlist comes out.

Well in Halo 2 you fought Jet-pack elites... And in Halo 3 they had "flight" armor permutations which the jet-pack elites wear. Plus in some of the videos for the game it shows elites have the choice to spawn with a jet-pack. 1 sec...

At about 26 seconds into the video you see the loadout screen for the Elites, and the jet-pack is one of the Armor Abilities.

Yes, it is very overpowered. One stick from the grenade it launches and the individual is dead. It has 10 shots. I you are competent with it you can easily get 8 kills, as I routinely do when I use it. Personally it would be very easy to fix. Take away its homing ability. The large clip compensates for the instant boom of the Rocket Launcher due to the fact that it takes a couple moments for it to explode.

A couple other things that have been peeving me. Frag Grenades don't have a legitimate fuse. When they hit the ground they explode 1.5 seconds later. If thrown at the ground they blow up in 2-2.5 seconds. If you throw them into the air, I've had grenades last 5-6 seconds then blow up. This discrepancy is really bugging me. They are frag grenades after all and do in fact have a set fuse. I also think their explosive killing radius is quite large, but that doesn't bother me that much. However, the headshot hit box is really sporadic. You can have the aiming reticle on the head of an enemy, and solely on the head of an enemy and not hit them in the head (I've found it to be especially sporadic with the DMR). I also believe magnums are far too strong, you can three shot an individual with them. That's ridiculous with a starting weapon, they should take away it's scope to make headshots harder, or decrease it's power. These are just some things I've noticed and tested with a buddy of mine, the beta is good, but like any beta it does have some balance issues.

Also, this is a little pet peeve of mine with the Halo Series. Can we please have a kills and deaths chart to look at in game? I just want to know how many times I've died. It helps to tell you what you're doing isn't working. But when I'm sitting there with 15 kills it doesn't seem like I'm playing poorly, then I find out I have 16-18 deaths at the end. I just wanna be able to look at my K/D during the game :/.

No the magnum doesn't 3hk people. It's 6-7 to take the shields down at range and 1 headshot. with an 8 round mag, it's not bad, it's like a dmr that you must make every shot hit and the last a headshot.

Now let's take it this way: We all know how Halo: Reach is going to end, since it's a prequel and we know that the covenant end up glassing the planet up. It would make sense for Bungie to twist the ending/plot by revealing a few secrets on Reach or something, and then revealing that planet to be the one MC is floating towards!

Yay! And I agree. More maps = more fun. I remember them saying that they would put out the Invasion gametype eventually, that'll be fun!

Yes! The two maps I read about that I haven't seen yet are Boneyard and Overlook. Overlook is very cool looking.

I've thoroughly enjoyed myself so far. The new weapons are fun, the game is more frenetic, the armour abilities add to the game without being unbalanced.

I don't know about all of them, but I think it's safe to assume cloaking and assasinations, plus the Elites get the roll and Spartans don't. Sprint isn't going to be there but the elite moves at the speed of a sprinting Spartan at normal speed anyway.
My guess, we they might not get all of the upgrades, but certainly enough of them.
All the armour abilities are available to both player types, with the exception being Sprint (Spartan only) and Evade (Elite only). Of course, this is assuming the gametype has those armour abilities as an option. I got to play an all-Elite game (Covy slayer) and it was amazing. Everyone gets given Evade and gets to choose between a Needle Rifle or a Plasma Repeater as their primary weapon. Plasma Pistol is secondary for both classes. And the plasma punch is incredibly effective with Evade.

FANBOY MODE: oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god!!!!! it is SO good and the weapons are so good ecspecially the new beamrifle/sentinel beam it's amence and the assainations aaaahhhh!

SELF RESPECT MODE: yeah the reach beta is quite good and gives the actuall game a good reputation online even if the campain is shit. they have changed it enough for it to be good; its like cod 6, mixed with bad company 2, mixed with halo. and it works!

I'm loving it so far but it seems like grenades are the new way to die. I go scout just to run away from those things because there's always a death bomb of grenades inc whenever you kill someone. [Oh I like the whole assassinate them in the air deal - it's funny stuff.] I still have yet to find any sniper spawns - (cries - its my favorite gun to kill with!) If I had the sniper, I'd go stalker with it. ^^

Also: I've already met the few RAGING people that curse out during arena team matches. People need to lighten up - so you die - just get up and pwn face kay?

Oh I know were the sniper is in sword base! Its on the bottom floor near the end with the two columns. It lying between them.

Thank you! I usually steer clear of the bottom section because everyone usually hides out in that one room with the ventilation + stairwell. ^^ Now I can have more fun. ;)
