Not so much addictions as compulsive habits. I stopped biting my nails. Not sure how. In lieu of that behavior, I now gouge my skin (see: dermatillomania). If eating disorders count, I had one of those (anorexia nervosa). Occasionally still haunted by the specter of that mindset, but mostly I feel in control. I have other habits, but I don't think they warrant any sort of psychological intervention.

Coffee. I used to need 6 cups of espresso every morning. Now I can do with one cup of regular and live on just fine.

I am addicted to keeping exotic animals.
Even though this is not harmful at all it eats up money very fast.

And i will never stop!!

hopefully, i've given up my addiction of throwing myself at jerk men. the guy i'm seeing now is a sweet enough type, so i hope he doesn't mutate into a dragon-beast like all the others did.

Coffee. I've actually given up on trying to give it up, because if I don't have caffeine daily I get migraines. Physical dependence and all that...
Been there. Luckily it's not that strong (relatively), gets a lot better if you can keep it up for about 10 days. After that you basically just have to keep yourself from falling back in the future.

Hard to point anything out...
As a child, and well into my pre-pubecent years, I used to pee my pants because I would not be bothered to go to the bathroom for 3 mins to interrupt my game.

There, I said it. That's really embarrassing...

Dextroamphetamine.

Been off it for two months now and it's STILL a drain on my energy and mood by not having it. Thank God I'm getting it back on the 10th.

I managed to beat a much more "serious" addiction but these were by far the hardest to get over

i have a addictive personality. thats the way i am.
i am AFRAID to expose myself to anything that people say is addictive.
i played World of Warcraft, and BOY didn't that go splendid for me!...
I have to be on the same boat with this one. It's one of the reasons that keep me from doing some thing, and it causes me to sometimes bump off my friends when they try to pressure me into something.

One time one of my friends was having trouble quitting smoking, so I took it up for a couple months just to quit cold turkey and rub it in his face.(I am not a particularly good friend)

But, yeah, Soda.

Can't get enough of the fizzy pop goodaliscious.

I was addicted to Methadone up until about a year ago, but I'm cleanish. Now I only take it when I party, not everyday to function like i used too... :) I think that is an improvement.

Demerol. I was wounded in action, and the field nurse messed up the dosage. Coming down off that was quite rough.

World of Warcraft, not sure if it was an addiction or an escape into fantasy and away from a difficult time in my life. Either way I couldn't go without it for over a year.
im on the same level as you man. it was an addiction for me i played 8 hours a day everyday and if i didnt play at all for a day i got irritated for no reason i played religiously for 2 and 1/4 years than finally i took a look in the mirror and saw a fat socially awkward nerd with no real life friends, and i just decided no fuck it i will not live like this i just quit cold turkey i started working out and eating right start talking to people and everything worked out pretty well currently ive lost around 40 pounds have lots of friends...no girlfriend but all in all im pretty content with my current self. funny thing is i never even deleted or canceled my account its still their charging me $15 a month...i should probably do something about that...

Masturbaters UNITE!! Just...don't make eye contact.
I lol'd at that.

Lol I guess that'd be an addiction people would be ashamed to admit to (yet plagues a lot of men no doubt)
Not just men, I've known quite a few women to like it as well. Have you ever seen how many "toys" exist out there for that that sole purpose? Disgustingly large amount.
