After watching Yahtzee's video about Heavy Rain, I knew who the killer was. I still don't know exactly how I found out. It just made sense to me as if he'd shown it to me with big flashing letters.

The only games I've had spoiled for me were games that I didn't care about. I'm very dedicated to avoiding spoilers.

For example, I avoided spoilers for Mass Effect 1 and 2 until 2 came out on the PS3 earlier this year. It felt so good finally not having to worry about that but it was really hard to avoid.

Why do I keep clicking on the spoiler tags? I don't want to know, but it's all so interesting at the same time...

yes, but none come to mind, though usually the spoilers i get are 'that dood dies' with little else, so while i'm pissed, for like an hour, with out the context, it dosen't bother me, an has actually had me pushing through a game to see if they're right, an the context an such

Thats the plan. We'd been ruminating about what happens at the end of Ass Creed Bro for months before it came out, but due to some financial gain on my part i was able to buy it before herp and complete it.

The worst thing is is that i would never have seen the end of red dead coming if she hadnt told me, the suprise was ruined only because i knew what was going to happen.

This was the second time ive known her to do this since she ruined the Origami Killer mystery to another friend of mine, it seems to be a habit. And while its not enough to ruin the friendship its getting enough to sever the gaming level of friendship.

In our talks the way ass creed bro ended never came up, so i think its fitting to casually drop it in conversation to just get my revenge.

Well, it turned out to not be a spoiler because it wasn't true, but some dickhead on some part of the internet posted this about GTA IV:
They said that Roman tries to kill you.
So then I spent the whole game thinking "Is this where he betrays me, the little shit?!" and pretty much being pissed off that previously mentioned dickhead for posting such a thing.

I accidentally spoiled myself on Heavy Rain by looking at TVTropes and failing to realize which spoiler sections might lead to something big. (Obviously, I learned who the killer was) Still, the final moment of that conversation between John and _____ Shepard was a pretty hard-hitter.

I actually have an idea for a storyline in which one can make an enormous, blatant reveal about the ending, and simply from its phrasing no one would believe it.

only if I don't care about the game.

if there is a game I really want to play, I avoid reading comments and threads on it.

Some fucktard didn't put spoiler tags and I was pissed and bawling at the same time.

The ending of Portal.

But it's ok, I like spoilers, I never prevented me from enjoying a book or movie because knowing the ending is usually meaningless (imho) unless you know the journey that came to to that point.

Someone spoiled for me the ending of FF 8. At the time, he was playing FF7, so I immediately fired back with "Aeris dies."

absolutely every game gets spoiled for me because i always wait about a year before grabbing any game and i hang around on the internet far too often. 1 year is so long that even legitimate journalists start talking about the twists. i didnt play bioshock until 2009, when everyone started talking about how ingenius the "Would you kindly?" part was.

I spoiled Silent Hill 2 for myself by reading its Wikipedia page after watching the film. And though I ruined the surprise ending, that twist was what piqued my interest enough to give the series a try. And thank goodness for that!
