WoW. Sometimes I'd just cruise through Elwynn Forest instead of taking the flightpath, simply because it's so incredibly soothing to be there. Same with Grizzly Hills.
Crap... I do that, I love grizzly hills it really does suck you in with the peaceful atmosphere. Then switch the music on and muh, I could have it as a screen saver.

All the way through Pikmin. Something about that awesome soundtrack and multicoloured plants chasing a tiny bald man in a space suit really calms me down.

KOTOR (the first one) when you're on the planet before the Star Forge. You take a right fork near the very beginning of the level and come out on a viewpoint. Nothing else just an increible scene before you of the sea, distant island moutains, perfectly blue sky, a few crashed ships, bliss.

Standing on the top of the church in Damacus in Assassins creed and looking out over the city as the sun rose high in the sky. Good times.

Fallout 3, cresting the top of a hill/building and gazing around the scenery.

Photographing animals in Beyond Good and Evil.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Nothings as calming as runninga through the feilds, collecting ingredients.

Or just heading to town, trading goods, making money
Yes.
It's probably the only rpg where I can play for an hour without fighting anything.

When I first played through GTA San Andreas, I would sometimes (after smoking) just drive around the backwoods or desert listening to Master Sounds. That would be relaxing until I rear end a stupid cop.

i love Morrowind's main theme at the title screen its so relaxing for me.
Agreed, Morrowind could be a delightfully serene place, especially in the grasslands, where the cliff racers can't get me *twitches*. Jeremy Soule's scores should be referred to as aural sex.

spiderman 2, after all the crazy combat just swinging around was really relaxing, especially when you got the upgrades at the end and it became nice and smooth

Katamari Damacy, especially the file selection song from "We Love Katamari". It sounds a bit like a rhythmic Buddhist chant.

Flower by far. The combination of the background music plus the tones you make when you get the flower petals is incredibly soothing for me. In particular I adore the
final level, when you're restoring color to every thing in the area - the music is so powerful and purging it's impossible not to feel good bringing the world back.

Guild Wars was the most relaxing game I ever played until AreaNet destroyed it for me.

I used to have a few fun farming spots with decent returns which required varying levels of my attention. I could solo kill sand worms with my ranger using a 100% evade build which gave me the occasional gold weapon but it was pretty easy and fun. There was the Ettin farming with my Elementalist which took some paying attention so I didn't go splat and gave me the occasional good rune which was ruined rather quickly by patches. And finally I used to stampede through the Shiverpeaks with my Necro and a swarm of 30 or so pets until they restricted the number of pets I could have...

It was relaxing, I made some money every once in a while, and putting the builds together was fun and forced me to dig deep into my spell list and hunt down the better spells to capture.
