Flower for PS3. Nothing more calming than slowly drifting around on the wind in a field of green.

You know a game is relaxing when you get a trophy for not touching the controller for 10 minutes.

any sneaking game .. theres something so soothing about stalking 1 or multiple enemies, planning an attack when you only have split second openings .... then disturbing the silence with an opponents last scream/gasp and the sound of the wind as you approach and set free their soul ... the everything returns to silence in mere seconds is almost orgasmic .. i savor the vibe, the air that feels bigger, wider somehow ... how life stolen by a shadow takes away the brightness and breath of the environment, it seems the room, the walls, floor and ceiling died with my opponent, the air becomes cold and grey ... suddenly i'm home .. i feel silver .. and i want every room to feel like this, i'm home

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Nothings as calming as runninga through the feilds, collecting ingredients.

Or just heading to town, trading goods, making money
Yeah, this.........i've finished the game but I still spend a ridiculous amount of time wandering through the forests and searching fo ingredients for my poisons (for hunting deer ^^).

And it's really easy to waste alot of time exploring the towns (Skingrad is my personal favourite) and even reading some of the in-game books. =]

Oblivion, its calming landscapes and no frustrating elements.
excepting the same damn calming landscape everywhere
I'm going to say the painted quest was very very calming.
Oh yeah I loved that one! Except for the whole "trolls attacking me" part...

Harvest Moon 64. Just...Harvest Moon 64. There's no princesses to save, no nazi demons from the planet Gleeboglop ot shoot, just you, your dog, your horse, a farm and a town's worth of people to interact with. What a nice, friendly game.

Oh I just remembered one! Monster Hunter on the PS2 was amazingly relaxing..... =]

The prehistoric scenery was beautiful and you could even go fishing in peaceful forest ponds......and the dinosaurs themselves (well, the non-aggressive ones) just added to the serene feel of the game.

This is gonna sound wierd but I felt most calm in Gears of war. Just walking through a battlefield,Bullets and guts flying everywhere, Just makes me feel calm and glad that I'm not the locust.

I'll often wonder around Anvil just to soak up the atmosphere, love the seaside vibe and the green hills around it.

Skingrad had some great houses to burgle, I mean explore.

It's nice to find a high vantage point and look down onto the cities, I find that very relaxing.

Was it the Darkness by any chance?

Mike Patton in your ear is always a good thing.

Not only those moments, but any map on Neudaiz in Phantasy Star Universe. Barring the enemies, both the scenery and the music just calms me.

In Pokemon, walking from a recently-conquered gym to a Pokemon Center.
The feeling of elation is wonderful.
