Has anyone actually kept their Wii that has bought one?

My family still has ours and I do buy and play games for it.
I can see where the criticism of the system comes from.
Personally I want my own one to play when I want, like my PS2 and formerly my Xbox1 (before it went up in smoke :( )
Must complete Z+W and TP.

I still have mine after about 2 years, but soon (not too soon though, because of WoW) I'll run out of Nintendo games to complete on it; I've done LOZ Twilight Princess and MP3: Corruption and am halfway through Super Mario Galaxy.

IMO any game not made exclusively for the Wii is bad because it tries to be like cousin PS3 and have uber graphics but just fails and instead tries to make up for it with a Wiimote-waggling minigame or two when you least expect it. That's why, without generalising too much, games made by Nintendo are really the only ones worth playing on it (I'm sure someone will be able to give me a short list of games which break this rule).

I still love my Wii and play it regularly. And I'm 19. I can understand that most casual gamers buy it as a fad and get bored with it, but for most 'proper gamers' (this includes hardcore and medium-core, such as myself), it's still a decent console. There are plenty of games out that I want to play but haven't yet.

Just got an xbox 360 to replace it two weeks ago :D. Also it started sounding an awful lot like a car engine when you put the disk in, which kinda freaked me out.

every know and then i buy a game like mario kart, brawl, zelda or family ski, but apart from the technology being innovative it has nothing else going for it, i'de rather play hardcore games online with an Xbox, or my personal fave, PC. also i think PS3 is getting a bit of a raw deal from some games. But Xbox 360 isn't a saint, the cheap console also means cheap parts and people i know generally end up spending more than they would on a decent PS3 by just replacing their Xbox360 when it constantly breaks.

Oh, and back to the main point, i do not ever play it and it is gathering dust. I told my parents when they got it for me and my siblings at christmas that i would never play it and if they wanted a worthwhile purchase, go for the Xbox360, they told me that it was also for them but NEVER play it themselves. what a waste of money.

i've still got mine. but after playing galaxy, kart, zack & wiki, no more heroes and zelda i never so much as glanced at it again.

i just play on my PS2 now.

i'll wait for the xbox 360 to produce some actually good games before committing to it.

If I had one, I would never get rid of it. The only two reasons I would buy one are Metroid Prime 3 and SSBB. Those two games alone are worth keeping a Wii.

I still have mine, and although I haven't really used it since I played through all the games worth playing on it, it's gotten my family into gaming, and that makes up for most of the wrong Nintendo does with it.

My Wii is still sitting there...with no more heroes in the disc slot. *sigh* When will they make a better game than NMH for the Wii. (NMH 2 maybe?)

I still have mine too, but I honestly haven't played it since I got No More Heroes a couple months ago. I remember, I got No More Heroes when Circuit City was going bankrupt and selling all their stuff at ridiculously low prices.
But anyway... I would probably play it a lot more if I had SSBB... Been playing a lot of Melee lately in school since I'm a senior and it's almost summer and my physics class has nothing better to do... But that's probably gonna end tomorrow when someone brings in the 360 and Halo 3.

I still have mine. Granted I don't play it as much but it still gets a fair amount of play via Brawl and Metroid Prime 3, as well as occasional runs through the Metal Slug Anthology.
