Just asking...
and yes, I do know that GTA:San Andreas is rated "AO" after the hot coffee incident. Any others?

yes, i have actually played Lightning warrior Raidy 2 and it's quite a difficult RPG despite all the nakedness and such.
it's pretty freaking hard.

That game is hilarious... especially when he gets shot on the knob with an arrow.

I've played plenty, mostly by Illusion. Did you have a question about AO games? Or were you just taking a poll?
(I assume you mean big studio games, not small flash games. I've played tons of those too)

EDIT: I'm 28 btw, if you're a minor then go do your homework.

I don't think San Andreas counts. Hot Coffee was a mod wasn't it? I've got GTA:SA on the PS2, unmodded and thus, am unable to partake in hot coffee.

I am not aware of any AO games. None whatsoever. I know there are 'dating sims' and hentai quizes on newgrounds.com and other such websites but those have no rating and limited/ no actual gameplay. I think games rated Z by the CERO would count as AO here...but then, Gears of War is one such game rated Z...

I think there are PC games rated AO that you can buy at certain 'adult novelty' shops but I could be woefully mistaken. Really, if I were to play a game rated AO, I would rather it be for a game with excessive violence and swearing.

...Upon reflection, I've never heard the N word in ANY game before or sense San Andreas. I'm not saying the N word is worse than fuck but...being a white guy, the N word makes me a bit nervous. Stupid genetics...

"AO"? Yes.

Rated that way by the ESRB? No.

That's a PR death sentence for a game publisher that attempts it and for any Console service that aids/permits it's as a game on it's platfrom. You'll likely only see PC games (Flash and such)being the main source of "AO" games.

Technically I've never even seen an R18+ game, Australia etc. But yes, browsing the dank tubes that are the internet, I've seen and heard tell of these things, as I assume anyone would have.

"The Guy Game." I found it at Blockbuster back when they used to sell games. Not really a game, but it's the only thing I've heard of that was rater AO. GTA:SA doesn't count.

Any AO game (with the AO sticker on the box from the ESRB) sucks. or they have lower rated versions.

Thrill Kill was AO, it was cancelled though >.> i hear its on the internet somewhere..

Liesure Suit Larry magna cum laude, which...just no >.>

Indigo Prophecy actually had an AO version as well.

But most notably, Manhunt 2 is the only game most poeople know with an ESRB AO rating.

Also worth mentioning, there's a path for the enhanced edition of The Witcher that allows it to be played uncut, which was rated AO.

Depending on when the game was released and how easy it is for kids to get a hold on games today (Thank you, internet) I'd say that games today rarely get the AO/18+ rating. This is just like movies, where old school action (which I had to sneak away from my dad) had violence, blood and gore, were for 18+ only. Today most films are made for people at the ages of 15, same with most games it seems. Is 15 the new adult thing?

As for games I've played with an AO/18+ rating, that I can remember after 4 days without sleep would be Doom series up until Doom 3 (which sucked big time), Wolfenstein 3D, Quake, Soldier of Fortune, Painkiller, Manhunt and Postal 2 (though the latter one is more comedic than action-packed)

Games and movies today can go fuck a donkey. Thank heavens for Stallone and his latest Rambo movie and The Expendables. They went all the way with old school, violence, blood and gore.

Robin.

Um, unless you're trying to get demons out of your wrist, I'm pretty sure the term is "exercise."

I have played many games that are for adults only. Nothing rated AO though, we only have MA15+ here in Australia. As for names:

Huh, looks like I've only got one currently installed on my computer - Hitozuma Hime Club - Secret Wives' Club

none of which were rated AO by the ESRB.

All of those games you listed, even Manhunt and Postal 2 were rated M.

Manhunt 2 was briefly rated AO when it was first sent to the ESRB, but they toned it down to get an M rating (IIRC they removed some "knife rape" animations)
