Has anyone noticed that Adam Sandler does and is the same thing in all his movies?

Same as Hugh Grant and (somewhat) Tom Cruise, they just play the same person in every single film they're in.

Yes, as do Jim Carey & Robin Williams. If you've seen one of their movies, you've seen all of them.
With the exception of The Trueman show, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and Good will hunting.

Adam Sandler was great in funny people.

This, except Williams wasn't really the main focus in Good Will Hunting so I'm not sure it counts

Eh, like others said, once you find a niche role, either you choose to fill that, or Hollywood makes you.

God, its why Chris Tucker gets the part of whiny high-pitched black guy. You want to see sameness? Look at the plot of every single Steven Segal movie and tell me it isn't just a copy-&-paste of the last script. Coincidentally, its also why Eddie Murphy gets thrown into every horribad film being made since Pluto Nash.

Click doesn't quite fit into the original list. Personally I loved that movie, and while there was a good chunk of humor, there was a strong story behind it. Reign Over Me (and another film, can't remember it) don't portray him as some funny character, quite the opposite really.

As for the romance nit-pick? What movie doesn't have it? That's like complaining your water has hydrogen AND oxygen in it, or your food came with something to eat on top of the plate.
This too.

Incidentally: food on a plate? That's preposterous...

I counter point
1, 3, and 7 with Drunk-Punch Love

So HA!
That film convinced me that Adam Sandler can actually act, and now I keep wondering why he still makes crappy not-funny movies instead of wonderful one's like Punch-Drunk Love (yeah not Drunk-Punch).

Must be 'for the lulz'. That's always the reason in the end.

You mean he's a douchebag and always makes me feel nauseous after 10 minutes of screen time?

I noticed that he's sucked as an "actor" in all of his movies, does that count?
