I hated the borderlands AND the mass effect review, but then again, I loved the Darksiders review. Guess it's just a bit hard to review certain games, but when it's on, IT'S ON!

I don't think that it's over yet, but there have been some lesser vids lately. The old stuff was new and refreshing, the newer vids were innovative, but some vids are more of the same, spread really thin. But it's still Yahtzee getting worked up and talking really fast, and if you let it take you in, it's not bad.(Branston Pickle refference)

Anyway, I hope the BioShock 2 review is going to rock my world and prove Stranger of Sorts wrong(respecting his opinion and being nice blah-de-blah blah).

I think you may have hit on something; he himself is probably spread quite thin, between the reviews, the Mana Bar, the book, and trying to make Game Damage work.

I agree ZP is very samey but I will still tune in each week to see what hillarious (or trying too hard) joke he comes up with

Many ZP reviews are bland but if you're given a deadline and told to "make something funny" are you really going to be able to consistently deliver? I don't stop reading, say, a comic strip just because many times it doesn't meet my stardards as, seriously, I know I couldn't do any better and am just amazed it is funny as often as it is.

ZP will have its slumps but it will recover just like comic strips do.

It's probably difficult for the guy to come up with a new way to point out a game has bad gameplay every week.

I feel that sometimes he hates on a game just because he can. No-one would watch the videos if he was all "THIS IS A BRILLIANT GAME."

But I think maybe he should just take a break for a while. Put the show on hiatus for a while let him focus on other projects (read: AGS games =) and then have him come back.

Either that, or add sharks.

While Game Damage died(he said so in an interview, tv station rejected it), the book will probably be a letdown(stick to what you do best, that's why Shakespeare never wrote deathmetal songs!) and the Mana Bar, well, I for one will never come there, since Melbourne is litteraly on the other side of the earth...

Bear in mind Yahtzee has been writing short stories FAR longer than he's been doing game reviews.
