It didn't happen in a game, but yes, I've been called a "hacker" before; I took it as a compliment; even though there was no true hacking involved.

Was in my college dorm one night, and started to browse our local network out of boredom. In a separate workgroup, I found a computer named "Christy's Computer". I clicked on it and discovered that she was sharing her printer; probably a setting she had at home, and kept it that way when she went to school. I then assigned her shared printer as my computers default printer. I then went in Word, and typed out in 128 point font, "Hello Christy." and sent it to her printer.

About 5 minutes later, I get a knock on my door, it was one of Christy's friends. He held up the printout and said, "Dude that was fucking funny! You freaked her out, she's all paranoid now!"

I asked him how he knew it was me, and he said, "Cause you're the only guy in the building smart enough to pull shit like this!"

Not really hard though, pure novice tricks, but I still enjoyed the compliment.

Way back when I used to play Combat Arms I was accused of hacking because I shot someone who was hiding behind cover in the foot (which was sticking out). The other time I didn't even get a chance to explain myself before being kicked for apparently hacking my health and ammo... I was using extended magazines and heavy armor...

In every multiplayer game ive ever picked up.

In CoD: Because i would be an unstoppable force of nature. ((By Playing smart and not running in the open like so many people do.))

In Halo: Because i would always be the first to the shotgun. ((And in the new one, Reach, because i went on a 24 kills streak using the active camouflage.))

In Crysis 2: Because i actually know how to aim for the face. ((Seriously? Theyre heads are the size of trashbags and people cant shoot them))

And in League of Legends: Because i know that Stuns and Pop-up's stop Katarina's ult, and i use that to my advantage.

I get roughly a dozen hate messages a day. :) Only adds to the fun of being an above average player.

When I was playing a round of Hydro in TF2 some guy called me a hacker (amoung other things).

I wasn't doing anything amazing, just playing an Engie and our team had some light chatting going on concerning spys and the control point. Then some guy on our team called me a hacker (Our team was scrambled moments before) and started throwing around gender remarks (cause I'm a girl) then he started to sling some general insults about Americans which didn't bode well with the others on the team.

I wasn't even doing anything profound. I was just healing and protecting my sentry and shooting people and healing team members.....I was confused, till I realized the guy was the spy I kept killing from the other team before the scramble.

It's happened a few times on CS when I was acing the team or on TF2 when I was dominating half the team(6/12). I tend to take it as a compliment.

I am a high ranking combat arms player, and being assaulted by, "nice hax", "WOW YOU HACK", "CHAMMER", and "aimbot opk!!!", is so common its pathetic granted there are a lot of hackers. On average, every session I am kicked from 7/10 rooms with an elite moderator and vote kicked 3/10 rooms without. It gets irritating at times, especially when there is a hacker in the room yet they all still blame you. Slowly leaning towards abandoning CA all together now that TF2 is F2P.

TL;DR - ALL THE DAMN TIME

In Napoleon: Total War I was accused of using "hax" that increased unit speed and stamina, which is odd because as far as I know there are no hacks for Napoleon: Total War.

Funniest accusation came while I was playing TF2 as an Engineer. An enemy scout literally screamed over voice chat that I was using an aimbot on my sentry gun because it kept instantly locking on to him and killing him.

I just remember having this one hateful message in Assassin's creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer.

Among the verbal garbage, he said I not only "Hacked" but lost anyways.

I played many rounds that day and the one I'm guessing he thought I cheated on, was this "Vienna: Night" when they had recently introduced "Escort" and "Assassination".

I think there was a glitch(which I think was immediately fixed) where you couldn't kill sometimes when you were on the "Protectors". Not only did it happen to me, but I remember casually walking away and having this kid on the protector side running and bumping into me because he saw me but couldn't kill me. I lol'd.

Still, does confusion and frustration justify hate mail?

Waaaay back when, when lots people still played Enemy Territory, I was applying for a clan.

Using the 3 shot glitch [first shot is 100% accurate with every gun, with acc. taking a slight penalty afterwards until you stop firing] I managed 64% acc with 153 headshots.

One of the clan members was spectating me as i slaughtered the opposing team over and over again.

A clan member on the opposing team called me a hacker, and banned me, I was unbanned later after appealing in the forum [although if i wasn't being spec'd, probably would have been permanent].
