I dunno if I have, probably, at some point... and now that TF2's free-to-play, I'm sure it'll happen a LOT more (playing as a Dead Ringer Spy/Demo who actually aims in a server that's 75% newbies is an utter dream).
the way I see it, if you're not hacking and someone accuses you of hacking, take it as a compliment. wear it as a badge of honor, that you were SO GOOD, SOMEONE THOUGHT YOU WERE ACTUALLY BREAKING THE GAME.
Hear this man, for what he says is truth. If unworthy accuses you of hacking, be proud of it, for you are better then him/her.

Be proud, unless you really did hack. That is a big no no.

You're hacking if
1. you can find me
2. you damage or kill me
3. you know the map
4. you argue with me
reasonable right? no? to bad welcome to gaming

A few times.

There were quite a few claims that I had a modded controller in MW2 whenever I used the FAL. I play a lot of Rock Band, so I have developed a pretty fast trigger finger.

Then there was a FFA match in particular that lasted all of two and a half minutes before I had it won. Killstreaks counting towards more killstreaks helped that though. The second that harrier showed up I had another six kills on top of those seven. Then the chopper gunner game in.

Then there is your camper who hides in the same spot and I wall them, so I much have wall hacks.

There was also a TF2 moment where I was shooting my bow and out of complete luck hit an invisible spy in the face as they were walking by.

Yeah. One time I was playing a game of Free For All in Call of Duty: World at War, station. I don't know why, but I got a shot of adrenaline that pumped me up. I was so on edge that my finger was twitchy to the point that I fired faster than a hacked controller. I emptied my rifle clip in under two seconds.

I was usually horrible at Counterstrike, but I had a lucky day once. People didn't like it. I like being called a hacker/cheater. It means you're doing well.

I tracked people fairly accurately by footstep noise in Counter-Strike, and developed a habit of checking the common camping spots and prefiring when I approached corners.

Managed to headshot one guy in the garage on Militia through a wall. He thought it was complete bullshit, I knew it was just random luck.

Whenever I use a pistol or the FAL in MW2 I get accused of being a hacker because I can fire them fast people don't realise that you can just tap it fast there's no limiter on them and because so many people have full auto mods they always assume I have one too.

Almost everytime I play spy there are players who overreact so badly to getting backstabbed that they scream and complain that I must be a hacker. The truth is that with 250 or so hours i've played as spy, I've learned to manipulate the hitboxes and get side-stabs at most and facestabs when they have bad ping.

From playing this long, I notice the difference and can say that facestabs, real facestabs are rare but can happen when there is a huge gap in connection between the recieving player of the attack. The technique i use that prompts them to scream "FACESTAB" which these guys really get riled up over is what I call the turn-around stab where the player charges or walks towards me as I shift around them and strike their back as they are now somewhat-turned or fully-turned away from me.

In general if you are accused of hacking, it just means your performance was so hard for them to process that they in turn rationalize you have some kind of illegal advantage e.g. hacking, thus being called a hacker when you're not is a indirect compliment :)

If you guys know the CoD4 map Crossfire, I was sniping in the building at the top of the street on one of my favourite Hardcore Free-For-All server. On a large server like the one I was on, spawn camping is very common. I notice a player spawn camping in a popular spot, in a small booth just off the middle of the street. Although he is concealed by sheet metal, I can see the muzzle of his gun so shoot into the sheet metal based on the location of his gun. I get a headshot, pat myself on the back for a well-placed shot, and get flamed by the spawn camper, accusing me of hacks. I explained to him how I was able to see him, but he just brushes that off.

Probably one of the main things I get called on Xbox live.

I'm gonna sound like a real old timer here, but I miss the old online games when everyone just typed 'gg' after a game even after they got constantly annihilated. Now kids scream into your ear constantly.

Yeah, I can shoot 10 bullets in about a second if I really concentrate and don't aim properly with a semi auto weapon and it gets me accused of hacking constantly.

Its not like i would have hit them if they weren't all bunched up anyway (the only time i'd do it, because I miss otherwise)

Well, I know some people who won't allow me to bring my Laptop to their home, even though I never tried to hack *them*. Had root access on my old school's computers though...
But I've never been accused of cheating in FPS games - I pretty much suck at them.

I too miss those times. I remember seeing that in the first generation half-life games which I was glad to be a part of, the pre-steam era. It carried on into steam and made it's way into the second gen half-life games but you don't usually see it anymore. It was a statement of sportsmanship and sorely is lacking in today's servers.

When I have a good run yes but most of the times I think it is more of an insult than actually ipmlying that hacking occurd.

My CoD playing friends (I myself do not play CoD) often use hacks and frequently get banned for it. One of them has already baught MW2 3 times and another one of them even went to the extend of hacking a steam account, which I dissaprove.

If you mean in games, then all the time when I play against a young kid who thinks they are the best and anyone better must be hacking in their eyes.

In my real life, my computing teacher at school accused me of hacking because I was using the command prompt

the worst example of this i ever experianced was when i was playing as a scout in tf2, ran up behind a sniper who was busy sniping and got him with the sandman killtaunt. he then called me an aimbotter/speedhacker. i can't understand this at all.

Sometimes. I think it's mostly in CS:S. When I play CS:S, I get really jumpy and whenever I see an enemy even for a split second I shoot. I also tend to be more aggressive, so I'll end up pushing and snapping right on to enemies. I'm not too great at CS:S, but when I'm into it I'll get really aggressive. So I've had games where I'll know the map really well and I know where people hide so I'll just kind of glide around corners and then shoot. It's not that I'm looking through the walls, it's just that people play predictably and I'm really jumpy. I also listen for footsteps and check for shadows.

It's the only game I'm like that in except for Gears of War.
