Only every time I visit these forums.

I kid, I kid!

No, I figure life is finite enough without rushing things along. If you ever seriously consider suicide, that's proof positive your depression has reached critical mass and you should seek help ASAP.

I did once upon a time, but my friend convinced me otherwise. She told me a story about what happened to her when a friend of her's killed herself. I still remember her words, "They will never know what it's like to be the one left behind." I've been okay though their have been a few times where I sink back down, but I've always managed to bring myself back up. I would never go through with it though because I realized on that day how selfish and stupid suicide was.

I have thought about suicide before. Not ever because I thought of commiting it. More like how I consider what the future is going to be like. Just like you would think about the meaning of life, I have thought about the idea of killing yourself. My personality would never allow for suicidal thoughts. I'm too happy and sometimes too full of myself.

Well... no.

I figure, if I'm that sad, it's not me that's the issue, it's everyone else, which of course brings up the Unfortunate Implications that I am homicidal even though I am not.

But, lets just say that, people "like me" tend to do so. Much of the time very early in their lives out of fear of being hated and killed.

So, yeah, advice for everyone? Think it out, wait, and you will probably change your mind.

For people "like me"? Don't. For there are others like you to be there for you. Never think that you are alone and that you are unwanted. Never let intimidation get to you.
Case in point, I'm here for you.

Hell, both sets of advice apply to everyone. So... yeah.

Thought about it? Of course. Actually thinking it's a good idea? Not a chance.

I personally value my life more than anything.

I've contemplated the barrels of several loaded firearms in years past... but I didn't wanna leave a mess for anyone I cared about to clean up... and of course I didn't want to damage any of them psychologically.
Now, though, I enjoy my life enough that a downturn in mood doesn't send me running for a loaded mag.

I have actually. Every so often my mind begins to wander, begins to wonder about the big sleep. I start wondering what it's like to be dead: Do we actually go to heaven or hell? Do we just dream? Do we get reincarnated? I then come to the realisation that the only way to find out would be to kill myself. Sadly, if I did then it would be in vain. To my knowledge I would have no way of reporting my findings back to the living and may not even notice my death.

It's something I hate thinking about, even though I know I never would do it. I just can't stand those thoughts, I usually get them in silences so I cover them up with music.

Killing myself isn't going to make my life any better. Killing others on the other hand...

If so what changed your mind?

What advice do you have for anyone currently considering suicide?

NOTE: I'm not suicidal myself. Just been hearing a lot about suicide lately.
Every waking day. Consider both sides fully and do what you believe is right.

I have but then I think of all the great games I wouldn't get to play.
seriously though, I have thought about it but there is so much to live for; friends, family and tons of other stuff.
On top of that I would never do anything to sadden my friends and family.

I haven't contemplated killing myself but have thought at times I wouldn't mind either way if I lived or died.

I've thought about it, but it just seemed like too much work at the time honestly.

"I suppose I could hang myself, but I don't know where to buy rope. Fuck it."
"I suppose I could shoot myself, but I don't know anyone who would sell me an illegal firearm. Fuck it."
"I could jump off a building, but downtown's like a 20 minute drive. Fuck it."
"I could cut myself, but then I'd have to get a sharp knife from the kitchen downstairs. Fuck it."

It does appear that my apathy and poor work ethic have saved my life on many an occasion.

You know, if any of you has suicidal thoughts, dont off yourself. If you don't really care for your life, go have some freaking fun! Shit, pack your bags and head to Afghanistan, that would bring change and excitement for sure. If you are planning to commit suicide because life is so miserable, go and rather risk it doing something that doesn't make you feel so miserable. Too many people think that they must be a part of this "rat race". Go to Africa or Asia, and find something meaningful. Just explore if you feel like it, there are plenty of odd jobs to go around.

I have thought about it before. Mostly when I was in middle school and when I used to take Zoloft, an antidepressant. I still think about it every once in while I won't do it though because I now feel suicides the pussy's way out.

I think there's a chance, a chance, that they're trying to do exactly that.

Suicide is for weak willed individuals that haven't gone through all the possible permutations to their problems.
Yes, because there's no such thing as an insurmountable obstacle. This is TV and all of our problems will be better in a half an hour.
Just because you can't go over something doesn't mean you can't find a way around it. Better to try than just stop dead.

Empathy? Compassion? No?

Can you honestly blame someone wanting to leave a world where the vulnerable, hopeless and desperate are insulted like this?
