waaay too many things for me to actually list. Red vs. Blue. Half the webcomics I read. This site.

I find things by accident constantly. Some are good and some are terrible.

Masturbation

But seriously (though the above is true), I remember picking up Deus Ex on a whim for the PS2... I was not dissapointed. I recently repurchased the PC version of the game and, though I missed the pre-Rendered opening and ending sequences, I enjoyed the game even more so (age and comprehension probably helped).

The same for The Witcher (game). I picked it up during a fantasy buzz, I think I had just watched all 3 LOtR movies in one day prior to this.

When I bought a multi game box, that had such classics as System Shock 2 and Duke 3D. System Shock 2 was without doubt, my favourite game for years afterwards.

My dad got a computer second hand years back and had a few games already installed on it. Descent was one, but the real gems were Wing Commander 3 and TES: Daggerfall.

I can't think of any other happy accidents in other mediums. I could probably list out some happy accident foods, but I'll leave it at this.

EDIT: heck, 1 won't hurt. I accidentally made french toast, before I even knew what french toast was. I dropped some toast I was holding into a Pan where I was frying an egg. So I just fried on the toast. Awesome. I learned the proper way on how to make it soon after when my dad saw this concoction. Apparently he knew about French Toast all along and never told me... for shame.

The phrase "on accident". I heard it in an Amazing Atheist video and I absolutely love how it sounds. Especially considering the sentence I first heard it used in.

"Oh, touched my penis on accident. Activated my sex drive!"

I discovered my social capacity.

Really, it sounds stupid, but I used to have hardly any social life. After I broke up with a psycho girlfriend I discovered that being very sociable is a breeze.

Golden Sun.
Was at Shopko one day because my mom had to go out and get groceries, and my GBA needed a new game, so off to the game section to check out random stuff. This was before I had the internet and the ability to actually find what's really GOOD.
I saw this game on the shelf. Golden Sun. Huh. Sounds pretty fantasy-ish, right? Picked it up just to confirm initial suspicions. The pictures on the box blew my mind, though. Flashy, awesome attacks. Were those really in-game SCREENSHOTS? On a whim, I bought it.
Month or so later, I was grinding away in the last area of the game after collecting everything and besting the optional boss, seeing how high leveled I could get. Hooked doesn't even DESCRIBE it. I couldn't wait for the sequel. It has to be the longest, toughest wait I've had for any game ever.

It's one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I don't think Dark Dawn quite stacks up to the originals, but there's something hugely endearing about the old characters and story and the twists I never saw coming. It felt epic like no adventure I'd ever had, and alive like no world before it.

Spice and Wolf. I saw a doujin cover with character designs that intrigued me. With a little research I discovered the anime and to this day it's one of my absolute favorite series.

Virtually every TV show I liked. The latest accidental find that I really enjoy is "Adventure Time". Yes, it's a kid's show, but it has more brains and heart than "shows" like Jersey Shore.

Zero Punctuation, and by extension this forum.
And as an added extension, the reason I found ZP was because someone had posted the review for The World Ends With You on Gamespot forums. The World Ends With You itself I discovered completely by accident when it came out, saw it on an advert on a website and thought... ooh, intruiging.

Also, Death Note.
Bought a PSP memory stick second hand and someone had saved all the (downloaded) volumes onto it. Read them all off my PSP.

When I was 9, I plundered through my older sister's game collection (awesome sibling is awesome) and found Baldurs Gate 2. After the 4 CD installation I began to play a game that has more content than I have found to this day. Gonna go play now actually...

Mythbusters, I was just flipping through channels and I stumble onto them blowing shit up and it was love at first site. Years latter even though I don't religiously watch the show like I used to, I'll occasionally find myself watching it while I'm having dinner.
Same. I was doing work experience and the guys put on Mythbusters and we just sat and watched it all day. Good Work experience.

Black coffee.

Ran out of milk. Couldn't be bothered to go to the shop. Thought 'Meah' can't taste that bad without the milk and I've looked back since.
don't you mean you've never looked back since?

Countless cartoons as a kid, when initially I see the adverts and think "god, that's going to be shit. It's just going to reduce the time given over to the shows *I* like!" Then inevitably there's nothing on and I watch and love. This happened less and less, then suddenly not at all as cartoons became worse and worse.

Something specific? A friend of mine convinced me to read some Deadpool.

YES!
