I very rarely get drawn in by hype, but it seems like whenever I do, whatever it is I was waiting on turns out not only to be less than anticipated, but to be simply awful.
Two cases in point: Too Human and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. These didn't just fall short. These were physically painful- though I don't mean to indicate that Advent Children was even nearly as bad as Too Human. Advent Children was bad, yeah, but Too Human is in its own entire category of truly odious lack of quality.
