Kinda working on it

I've Got feelings for a Girl i have known since kindergarden, we talk very much and openly with each other.
We did get drunk one time and made out, but after that it went back to normal.

Right now she keeps saying that she doesn't have that kind of feelings for me but would totally date me if i did.
But she keeps gettin' close to me All the time, so i'm confused.

ah crushes, last time i had one it didn't really work out so well, my own shyness sort of made me lose the moment. you see i was hanging out with some friends one evening, drinking, playing games and what not, the guy i liked was play wrestling another friend mine, and i swear, just as i was opening my mouth to ask if he wanted to go out, he and the other guy start making out, the one chance had to be with someone, and i missed it, in the most awkward way possible too, watching the person you have feelings for falling in love with someone else, right in fron of your face, literally in my face too.....>_>

I've told her over Skype that I like her, as I used to be pretty shy, and she told me she feels the same way. I've been with her for a few months then we kinda broke up. Sad story. Sniff.

One of my closest friends I had in highschool I let go without telling her how I felt about her. I Came to find out this year that she was also in love with me and still does. Sadly she got married and had kids while she was in Colorado so I have now lost her forever.

I was bummed because she was by far the most gorgeous woman I was ever close to, that's what you get for being a shy dipshit when you're young.

My Highschool crushes? Being part of a different social circle didn't really help... which was a good thing, because in hindsight they really wheren't my type AT ALL. they where just really pretty :p

Now at uni? No crush or even mild romantic interest. Not sure why. Also none in my direction... that I know of :p

so sorry, no happy stories from me. I'll keep you posted though :p

Well last week I was at a pub with some friends, one had brought her hot cousin, I was about to leave early and she said "hey [blank] (her cousin) thinks you're gorgeous and will probably f**k you". So I hung around another couple of hours and got laid.

Wait this was this meantly to be vaguely romantic...?

Yup.
She didn't like me in the first place, she was trying to get me to like her friend, who liked me. Then she started to like me, but didn't want to do anything, because I'd just been getting over a crush and had talked openly about it with her. But then I managed to find out she did like me, even though mere days before she'd been liking my friend. So we did the only logical thing and went out in secret for a few weeks, but her friends are the selfish and jealous kind, and were getting annoyed at her disappearance most lunches. So then we have to tell her friend that we're together. That friend is fine with it (Because, honestly, she is the sweetest person [after Sophie] I know), but Sophie's best girly-friend (Lauren) is a complete *****. And I'm usually criticised for seeing too much good in people. So Lauren is constantly trying to split us up, with rumours, or demands, or threats. She is constantly making Sophie feel guilty, or bad, or whatnot. (At one point, it took half an hour of me consoling her as she wanted to end it, as it was "hurting Lauren".) However. After a month of this, she (Sophie) started to realise how selfish Lauren was being here (As it was constant demanding that Sophie spend more time with her, and how this "Isn't fair. I'm your friend for longer"), and so is getting annoyed.
To cut the longest part of the story short, Lauren finds out about our... intimate matters... and tells a few people. Sophie now hates her, and I get her during most lunches!
Yay!

If you read all that, good for you. It is, in my eyes, a bit like a fiction book tale.

Nope, I have never "got" the girl I was interested in.
I did manage to get close, but I either fell into the friend zone, or I waited to long to tell her my feelings, so she went out with one of my friends. She did ask me to the prom in our senior year, but I think she was just trying to get me to go to it( I didn't particularly care about going to the prom), I did end up going with her anyways.
nothing really happened after that.

Well, I made out with this one girl (who had previously told me she was a lesbian) at my ex-girlfriend's birthday party. Oh, and she'd also dated my ex for a few months at some point or another.
Ah, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Turns out she lived about 2 hours away, so we were pretty much screwed as far as a steady relationship went. Oh well. I've been dating a different girl for the past 2 and a half years now, so I'd say I've recovered.

If by "work your arse off" you mean "act innocent yet seductive until said crush asks you out" then yes. Yes I have.
Omg I hope you realise you are pretty much the luckiest person in the world. Or at least up there with the guy who won 2.7 million Pounds of a 50 Pence bet in England (it was a while ago I forget the details). Anyway this is pretty much the dream of hopeless guys and girls everywhere haha.

I, uh, am a bit confused about that part of my social life. Relationships just kinda sorta happen, and my sense of agency in the matter is real low. To answer your question directly; Yeah, I've gotten the girl, but not on purpose.
This is pretty much how things work for me. Chance of anything happening is inversely proportional to the ammount of effort I put in, with the exception of my boyfriend of... five years now?

To be honest, that might be what stops me succeeding with anyone else.

What, just acting innocently sexy is so difficult? Shit, give me an ice cream or a hotdog and it's practically effortless.

Yes I did and i'm actually on the phone with her right now.
shes funny smart and beautiful and she broke up with someone i was friend with. She was worth every second and if you ever find someone that good for you go for it the risk is worth the reward.

No.

Reason is because I've never had to put forth much effort to get anyone. Hell, half the girls I've been with made the first move.

I'm faintly creeped out by the ability of my imagination to easily picture that and be ever so slightly aroused... even though I don't know what you look like... and that I'm a straight guy!

Don't apologise. I consider it a compliment. Just picture a slim, slightly feminine blonde guy slowly licking the melting ice cream off the side of a lolly stick ;)

Plus this isn't new for me to hear. I've been known to have a limited effect on certain straight guys when I try this stuff. Never enough for them to want to shag me, but enough to get a "dude, that was hot" from one or two of them.
