Once. In a Halo Reach Grifball match. I don't normally grief, but I was so pissed off after my last match against a bunch of greifers, that I took out frustration on my new enemies for 10 minutes.

Sure I splatted a few leveling Hordies on a pvp server in TBC. Am I sorry? Hell no. People who screamed 'shit' and ran when they saw the red ?? didn't get chased, jackasses who didn't show enough respect to even start to act like my killing them was a possibility got a corpse run.

LULZ FOR THE LULZ THRONE

Sometimes you just say to yourself that you are going to get you jollies from the misery of others.

Whenever I'm playing Versus mode in Left 4 Dead 2, and I'm the only survivor to reach the safehouse, I sometimes let a single common zombie into the safehouse. The round doesn't end until all survivors are in the safehouse or dead, and no zombies are alive in the safehouse. So, I simply let the common beat me within an inch of my life, then heal and do it again. This can last for about 15 minutes.

Yes, I'm an asshole sometimes. No, I'm not sorry.

I don't grief. And if I'm getting griefed, I do the thing that annoys the griefers the most - I play along. Nothing chases off a griefer that fast.

Once, in Halo, I grabbed a rocket launcher and a sniper rifle. Then I got in a tank. I did not leave the tank until I died. As a result of my greed, my team got hammered due to lack of power weapons. Yes, it's technically not griefing, but it still has the same effect.

Hmmm, maybe in League of Legends occasionally. Usually to the opposite team, I have to allchat a GET DUNKED at someone every once in a while.

Like today when this Jayce was being a real bully to my poor little Orianna (at level 1) by being a clever ***** and body blocking my farm and shooting me in the face every time I came in range. This was happening at the very first minion wave.

I tried to 1v1 him at the start, not a good idea, no. So with me on a tiny amount of health the guy decides to dive the turret... At level one. Full health or no it is never going to work.

He wasted Heal to try to prolong the chase and Flash when he realised that this was a horrible idea from the start and tried to get out.

GET DUNKED.

He then let Akali mid and went to bot lane for the rest of the laning phase. Lulz

I don't grief in the dickish ways like feeding on purpose. You really having fun just clicking the enemy base and watching yourself die over and over again? Fuck you sir.

Plus I would never question the sexual prowess of somebody's mother. That's something right?

If some decides to be a massive dick, I see it as them winning if I cave and grief. That being said, I have been known to drive to punch a friend in the gut for screaming repeatedly during Modern Warfare 2 matches.

I harass snipers in TF2 as a Scout a lot. But I'm not apologetic. I don't rage in chat or on the mic, I just kill them to death. Because screw long range insta-kills.

That's not actually griefing, though...

My personal favourite was placing TNT under someone's house, then connecting it to a button inside the house. Next to the button I would place a a sign saying, "Do not step on this." Of the seven times I did that, five of the people pressed the button.

One time I filled a guy's stone house with lava. His reaction when he opened the door was priceless.
This is awesome. :D

I used to grief on a MUD server; I played a thief who was shit at direct combat so I'd just stealth in the shadows, watch someone battle some strong mob then at the last moment zip in with a backstab and steal the kill. Highly dickish thing to do but it was an enforced roleplay server so I used to roleplay it off quite well.

Never griefed, never felt the need/want to.

I feel it's too reminiscent of bullying, in that you make another person's day miserable just so you can get your jollies off. It's unproductive, petty and... really? What's the point? 5 minutes of hilarity while that person spends an x-amount of time frustrated and upset? Yeahno, do the math. On a grander scale, it just makes you a bad person.

My name is EHKOS and I apologize for all the countless hours I spent griefing in the first Left 4 Dead. All the terrible things I've done....except locking a tank in the safe room, that was epic.

I know this is supposed to be an apology thread but I do not apologise for spec nading people camping outside of spawns in CoD 2 and 4. You all deserved it. Other than that I've only ever grieved my friends and that was a mutual thing(like messing gravity and speed with admin when no one was on the server) so no apology needed there.

TF2 arena, Engineer with Pomson, Short Circuit, and Eureka Effect. Unlimited ammo, health, and metal, as well as the capability of countering everything with a little bit of luck (Pomson takes care of medic pairs/groups, Short Circuit takes care of stickies/rockets/flares).

The hilarious part is I don't even do the whole regular Engy thing, instead I plonk down a sentry in some dark corner and put a dispenser in its line of fire out in the open, and so when people go to get an easy destruction on it (because gamers seem to have this primitive hunter like tunnel vision when presented with an easy opportunity for killing something or blowing it up) they get shot in the back by a sentry, and don't even realise for a few seconds, making it almost impossible to escape. It's priceless.

I only do it when somebody's annoying me though, sticky spammers are the greatest offenders. Or when the map is terrible. I mean, who honestly likes watchtower?

In Uncharted 2, there's a team spawn point in The Village map with a thin doorway. If you stand in the middle that doorway, your team won't be able to exit and play. I've done this about 6 times with satisfying results.

But to anyone who was caught up in it, if you happen to remember it and are reading this, I apologize.

Yesterday.
Mass effect 3.
Some guy was really pissing me off, slagging off the team, telling us we all sucked, dispite the fact he was placed third (Close to second, but not first, who was 20000 points ahead. And me. :D ), so in the lobby, I sent messages to the other team memebers, and we prepared for a gold-level game, and didn't tell him. He got his arse handed too him. And he raged so much.

No regrets, he was being a MASSIVE dick to us.
