I've only greifed once, ever, And I'm not apologizing to that dick.
He greifed me first in minecraft so I made a mountain of lava out of his tree house.

Yes, I've griefed. My rules are just "no cheating, no flaming." In EVE Online I've went to war with countless miners and PvEer's just because I could. I've ransomed ships for hundreds of millions of ISK, and killed them anyway after they paid. I've joined a small group of people, got lent a logistics ship, then helped them kill people who were friendly to my corporation, before stealing the ship they gave me. I've joined peoples corporations and pretended to be their friend just to get a chance to kill and steal from them. I could go on.

Outside of EVE? A few minor things, nothing noteworthy.

Do I apologise? Why would I do that? At the end of the day, it is just a game. Everything I do is perfectly acceptable within the game mechanics and it's damn well fun. When I annoy people it's a bonus, because I don't annoy people, I annoy people who take the game too seriously.

I have griefed, and I do not apologise. Why? Because it was awesome.

I mostly griefed in Minecraft, mainly because that's more fun. In one vanilla server, a group of people were creating a tiny underground village. I responded to this by putting a pool of lava right above their roof. Once they started expanding upwards, hilarity ensued.

Frequently in Crackdown 2, mostly by killing people during the "co-op" mode. It became such a regular thing to do among me and my friends that we made rules around it:

The host quitting got you 1 point

Hate mail was 2 points

Funny hate mail was 3 points

Most points at the end of the night wins lunch the next day

Many, many nights were spent with us just joining games and going out of our way to make stuff blow up. Most of the time we'd just get a bunch of people quitting, but there was one glorious, glorious day when me and another friend happened to join the same game, and the host and his friend decided that they were going to fight back instead of just leaving. The entire city became a fucking war-zone, and the 4 hours we fought and murdered each other is hands down the most fun I've had in that game. The angry, angry hate mail my buddy and I both got was also a hilarious bonus.

I apologize for none of it, because it was a blast.

Yeah sort of, in left 4 dead 2. People get mad in that game a looooot. It's so bad, I've started keeping ragescores. Every ragequit (either with or without making a scene first) is one point. The record so far is 26 in 1 full game, even though it's a 4 vs 4 game. Go figure...
So anyway, whenever yet another dude goes into rage mode and starts insulting people, I like to rile him up even more. Just for giggles. But only if he's being an ass to the other players. It's a win-win situation: he either ragequits, making everyone happy, or rages even harder and makes himself look like a complete jackass.

I will however admit I have on occasion done the exact same thing as the guys I "punish" this way. I try really hard not to but the game is made so that you really depend on your team. And failing again and again because of your team's poor performance can be extremely trying...
So, to everyone I ever judged far too harshly, my sincerest apologies mate :S It was probably just buildup from a string of bad games and you were the straw that broke the camel's back.

Griefed in Minecraft a few times. I refuse to apologize. Their security was shit, and I made it my mission to open their eyes.

When you hand out DIAMOND TOOLS TO COMPLETE STRANGERS who JUST ARRIVED on your NON-PROTECTED server, you need some backlash.

Halo: Reach! A million years ago, when I was a part of Xbox Live Gold, I would play team deathmatch on Halo: Reach. There was this one match where I was in a team with a guy who just wouldn't shut the Hell up, all of which was negative and douchy, etc. So, I would throw frag grenades at his feet when we were around enemies. This would knock out his shields, get him killed and best of all, it wouldn't be a hit against my final score! The best part is that he didn't realize I was griefing him on purpose and just thought I was bad with my grenades.

I stopped playing games online shortly after this. Reach was really the only thing I played online to begin with.

That reminds me: I DO NOT APOLOGIZE!

I roughed up a Russian CSS server for roughly half a year straight, having one of its admins permaban him self, forcing it to shut down for 2 months and implement a billion new features to try and keep people like me out. Didn't work in the end, but luckily for them I was too bored with it to bother anymore.

Am I sorry? HAH, no.

Me and my friends were doing some special minecraft map and I kept griefing the one guy in our group who likes to hang out with us, but everyone secretly mocks (and sometimes not so secretly). I was experimenting with teleport commands, and then pissed him off so that he'd knock me off the edge of the map, then I'd either teleport to him and knock him off, or teleport him to me so that we'd both fall off. I got so that I could type that message in so damn quick. After he stopeed knocking me off, I'd just jump off and teleport him to me. He quit.

When the L4D2 demo came out I played with some strangers, after getting particularly fucked in the first act, they all healed themselves in one of the safehouses and took all the medkits before I got in, and then none of them answered me when I asked for one - so I slaughtered the lot of them.

They can apologise to me when they're ready.

Remember that spreadsheet that we all contributed to once? And there was that guy who only posted hentai? And wouldn't stop?

That was me. I'm not going to apologize, though.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I have done it in a few games, in league when someone would start saying racist shit or just being really insulting I would start to feed hard. In bad company 2 I wouldn't spawn camp but if the enemy team got pushed back I would mess up their spawn base, although I didn't do it much since it wasn't fun and I felt bad about it. The league thing, meh, ass holes getting pissed, don't care but I dislike when a game just goes completely one sided even if I'm on the side that is winning.

Dear, Random Minecraft server, I'm the one that filled the water with your underwater houses in it with sponges and then proceeded fill all the rooms with cobblestone and then built a machine that lagged the server so badly that everyone dropped to 3 FPS. I'm not sorry. Your description of the server was "Legit vanilla minecraft" but you had chest for every item/block in the game which instantly refilled itself with said items/blocks. You deserve it for lying. Screw you.

Only time I ever griefed.

Captcha: game is up
Oh yeah? What you going to do about it eh?

Oh hell yes. I've had more fun greifing furries in the night club in Champions than playing the actual game.

I don't play online games often anymore. Don't like the people much since the proliferation of it in the early 2000s. Never griefed or leeched... can't really understand how people could find such a thing fun. Seems like you would only do that if you disliked the core game mechanics...
I'll use LoL as an example. I'll be playing with my friends and some jackass on the other team will be taunting them while doing marginally well. I roll up there gank them, get the easy kill and shut that business down.

It's fun to see that ego deflate as you pound them into the ground.

Not particularly, no. I don't really play online(as of right now, I actually can't). Whenever I play online, it's always an MMO, rather than on my PS3. The most griefing I've ever done is probably singling out the same Assassin and continuously raping their face during a Jade Quarry match in Guild Wars. Because she was telling me I was an awful player and I suck simply because my main character(the one I was playing) is a Dervish. If you can even call that griefing.

The funny part was that my team didn't mind at all because she's 9/10 times be found protecting a Necro Bomber so I took her out in mere seconds while another party member would single out the Necro and our quarries were protected, so I got away with it scott-free. :3
