I made a "lag switch" a long time ago. My god was it fun. The only time I ever used it was in a Halo 3 matchmaking game 2v2. My friend was AFK the whole game and I took on 2 people by myself. I finish the game 25 - 0 in less then ten minutes. The rage messages from the other team made victory all the sweeter.

I also used it from time to time in private games in forge mode whenever a friend was spawn trapping us.

But my favorite time was when I challenged 8 of my friends to beat me in a game of slayer against just me and my lag switch. I made someone run at me with a sword and killed him by lagging him off the cliff behind me. Did the same thing with a warthog. I won that game 50 - 8.

Never Greifed Never have.

I am a nice person and actually completely gave up on any form of competative multiplayer or PVP because I am simply not nasty enough to do anything. I prefer to have fun and be positive.

I kind of resent the insinuation that I actually grief. I've been the target of griefers plenty of times throughout the years, of course, but no I don't contribute to that sort of behaviour. I'd LOVE to have the ability to make their computers explode, though. Hehe..

Mind you, I only really feel that way because there's really nothing you can do most of the time and it gets really irritating. It's kind of sad that these people have to harass others in order to get it up, or whatever dimwitted reason they do this kinda thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they were problematic kids growing up.

EDIT: Like Galaktia above me, I don't do online multiplayer or MMO games simply because I don't enjoy that sort of atmosphere. I'll do local multiplayer with my cousin and some of his friends, but that's cause we can reach over and bap someone who acts like a jerk and then all laugh about it. :p

Bingo.

Never griefed, never felt the need/want to.

I feel it's too reminiscent of bullying, in that you make another person's day miserable just so you can get your jollies off. It's unproductive, petty and... really? What's the point? 5 minutes of hilarity while that person spends an x-amount of time frustrated and upset? Yeahno, do the math. On a grander scale, it just makes you a bad person.
Double bingo.

I harass snipers in TF2 as a Scout a lot. But I'm not apologetic. I don't rage in chat or on the mic, I just kill them to death. Because screw long range insta-kills.

That's not actually griefing, though...
Screw long range snipers who don't headshot. Honestly I think your failing your damn class if you don't headshot as a sniper and I will admit that I actively made snipers lives living hells because they either 1: Refused to headshot or 2: Would only kill other snipers.

Also, if your going to harrass snipers as a scout don't do it to snipers with the Tribalmen's shiv, essentially two hits with that and three seconds of bleeding and your dead.

If anyone ever griefs I will consider you scum for the rest of the time that we are playing. Your not fucking cute because you are being a annoying-****-bag and I would prefer you stop wasting your own time and destroying others experiences so you can have three short laughs. If I was a server admin every single griefer would be banned on sight. You'd also be banned on sight if you made a homophobic, racist or generally bigoted comment. Either play nice or you get kicked for a few minutes. Learn your damn punishment.

Me and a group of friends used to ride around in Red Dead Redemption killing any other players we saw. Hunting them down from across the map etc.
Or we'd grief each other. 1 throwing knife and your horse would go down. So we'd be riding along and just decide to kill someone's horse. Then we'd ride around them laughing, killing any horses they called. We wouldn't kill them, just leave them and kill their horse. Occasionally I'd be on the receiving end.

Also, in MW2 me and my mate spent a whole night griefing these 2 assholes. Every time we killed them we stood over their dead bodies, playing for da shorties by mc chris.

Over and over again.

Also in one of the socoms, I think confrontation, there was a big problem with americans coming into UK servers and voting UK players out of the room. It was rediculous how often it was happening. So me and my mate made second profiles were we just went into american servers and teamkilled everyone we saw. Ahh..the rage we heard over the mic was hilarious.

I imagine I'll get some hate for this.

A long time ago, me and a mate were on a server his dad owned on CS:S. We were using Noclip. we both got 3 week bans and stripped of admin for 3 months.

Set-up a sentry farm with 2 other friends in TF2 just outside a spawn.

I apologise for those. I'm a bit more mature now, and tend to counter-grief.

I play League of Legends so..... absolutely.

And so has every other player at one point. The community is absolutely terrible and it's a vicious circle because it takes new players who might not be assholes, and forces them to assume that every other random player is an asshole, thus meaning that you treat them like shit because you know that's how they'll treat you.

Am I sorry for it? No. Not in the slightest. And I'll continue to do it.

But I do wish it was different.

playing BF2, first time I'd ever used a sniper rifle... got my first ten kills on a mate of mine who was on the other team wile an enemy medic kept reviving him. took a screen shot every kill. I apologize for nothing.

however, playing Dawn of War 1, on the into the breech map, go as imperial guard, have IG ally, camp the breach and use bassilisks to slowly but surely destroy their bases and thre's nothing they can do about it...
yeah, i was a bit of a c-word...

I don't acctually "grief", but I have a habbit of repaying blood in blood.

Back in ye olde days when I was still playing WoW, tere used to be a rather notorious orc hunter with the habbit of spending his days in Stranglethorn Valley, ganking everything in sight.
And, like most alliance players that time, I was a victim of him for several times, over the course of maaaany hours in total.
Not much we could do, either, as with his High Warlord (Or whatever the hose pvp title was again..) and full epic pvp set.. he could pretty much do whatever the fuck he wanted.

All that changed when burning cusade rolled along.
For some reason, he was rarely ever seen again somewhere. Next time I saw him, I was farming Primal Fire in Nagrand, when I wanted to fly back home, I saw something moving on the round, killing quest mobs in the area.

Well look at that, an all well known orc hunter, somewhere enar the entry level of nagrand in quest greens and blues.

...
It was a glorious time I tell you.

I don't grief. Ever. It's not remotely amusing to me to screw up someone else's game time. I love how From Software designed the help/invade systems in its Souls games--and built in decent restrictions--but even so I don't leave misleading messages or screw around when I'm supposed to be aiding or attacking.

I did laugh at that one "amazing chest", though.

Most of the time when I try to grief I fail spectacularly, so I resort to throwing myself at my enemies dying constantly until they get annoyed at me. I make it my goal to make them pay for annoying me or killing me too many times, I make my suffering their torment.

You know, that particular attitude? That's why you're a perfect target to have fun with. Best way to deal with griefers (the majority of which will find a temp ban absolutely hilarious because mission fucking accomplished) is quite simply to take their 'griefing' with humor and a high-five. They won't have a juicy target full of tears they need to squeeze out and will look elsewhere and frankly... you will have a lot more fun when you stop getting your blood pressure into the red over griefing.
You assume that I get angry over griefers, I don't. The majority of the servers I do play on have a 0% tolerance for griefing and will ban griefers for a month if they come on. The best way to combat griefers is to stop them from having their fun for more then a minute.

I team killed, and some other things, occasionally on Haze. A lot when I found someone who deserved it or was playing with a friend. I Don't regret it but I have grown out of it over time. Other than that I might have accidentally created a minecraft griefing team by introducing a friend to team avolition.

The only time I really ever grief is in Battlefield 3 against Recon Whores. They're the people who try and snipe opposing players 2 miles from the objective without ever doing anything to help the team.

I'll spawn in as the support class with an M249 and constantly suppress them with an infinite supply of bullets. I find it funny when they try to run away as if it would help.

The recon class is mostly useless in Battlefield 3.

I'll believe that when I see it. No one gets that pissy over griefers unless they've raged at them for some time. Besides, even that kind of regime won't stop the more subtle griefers who'll cause untold amount of frustration and hate under the guise of the "hapless newbie who really mean well". It's a classic for a reason.
If its a classic then why have I never seen it.

Also, your the equal of kids on the internet saying how big their dicks are, your dick isn't as big as you lead on, but your saying so to impress your peers. Like I said earlier, I never rage at them, because their too thick to realize it.

If ruining others experiences gives you your five seconds of laughter for the day then imagine how much of a prick you are in life.
