Whole bunch of stuff. In this day and age where choice seems to be such an important part of gaming, the smallest bit of harm to someone in a game makes me twitch a little. I am pretty harsh thinking, in the sense that I am mostly utilitarian and what not, but games have taught me, especially KOTOR2, that even the smallest bit of good can bring harm.

In Mass Effect 2, during Zaeed's loyalty mission, I had to choose between helping Zaeed catch the Blue Sun leader so he could get revenge or help save the people in a refinery that was about to explode. I was playing as a renegade so I chose to leave them to die. For the rest of the level I could hear them screaming and I almost reloaded my game to nullify the choice but I decided against that. It was awful and I couldn't stop muttering "oh god oh god oh god" to myself the whole time.

Having sex with Morrigan at the end of Dragon Age Origins...
It gave me no choice, I skipped the cutscene but it's just weird.
If there is a way not to do so I'd appreciate knowing how.

I feel bad when I try to be a renegade in Mass Effect. Punching women in the face is kind of against my morals. Besides that, paragon always seems to be way more badass because most of Shepard's dialogue at that point consists of barely concealed threats and intimidation.

Contrary to a bunch of people in this topic, I never felt bad being evil in Fallout 3. I actually had a character that used only melee weapons and spent all of his time enslaving people. If I couldn't enslave them, I beat them to death with my bat.
she deserved it though...with her snide insinuations.... also is it as bad if femshep punched her?

I had a hard time killing Zeke in the bad ending. It was actually really heartbreaking.

Dead Space 2 "Eye Machine". I'm not squeamish, and none of the other things in Dead Space 2 bothered me, but that scene...
I'm sure that Heavy Rain had plenty of things much worse, but I don't have a PS3.

Another thing was the women in the hive in in DNF. It wasn't as uncomfortable as it was out of place. It's strange to see a character who I've seen rip an aliens head off and use it's neck cavity as a toilet euthanize suffering women saying "It's better off this way, baby." It just feels like it belongs in a different game.

When the easiest choice would have been to simply ruin her game or walk off, yes.

I believe there is a way, as one of the DLC's had a bug where it was assumed you had not chosen that and had still lived even if your imported file clearly said you did do that. I've no clue what it is.

I'll keep this to a few words: Bioshock, golf club, keeps getting back up.
All I can say is I cringed the whole time and it's one of the most impacting scenes for me in gaming for the years past and probably the years to come.

I think the fact that you were playing Red Faction Guerrilla alone should make you feel uncomfortable, for playing such a crappy game.

.
I dont get why this game gets all thease negative reactions.....

I mean its actually really fun (especially if you get your hands on a walker, a bit of a game breaker though..mabye thats because I have it on easy, since I'm still getting used to a gamepad)

I quite like the world they created, and overall gameplaywise Id say its very solid

as for the story...well yeah thats probably its weakest point (I mean opening cutscene...."oh baldys his brother?..heh I give 5 minutes before he dies)

however that said its not off-putting or boring and I wanna see what heppens in the end

I mean have had more fun/liked this game better than other games which are "suposed" to be good..like the witcher S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and oblivion (no I dont hate RPG's)

anyway thats subjeciitvity for you :p

Man, if I play an RPG for long enough, I must spend at least one kinda-sleepless night fretting over an in-game decision that turns out not to matter. It's like, the law or something.

Yeah, that too.
Except stealing. In-game theft is awesome.

I felt pretty bad in New Vegas...
The first time I tired to kill Mr. House. He just seemed so defenseless (after I got past his missile launcher armed security robots), and after reading the note in my pip-boy after killing him it was the first time a game ever made me think "I'm a monster...". Also didn't help that I had Bloody Mess, so the end result looks like I hacked up someone's great grandad. So I reloaded an old save and am putting off proceeding any farther with the main quest until I work up the nerve to deal with it.
I put it down too if "HE" couldnt be reasonable then he had to go....(I did feel bad) anyway I didnt trust him...he seemed kind of like Mr Manhatton from Watchmen..."disconnected" from humanity

New vegas is an example where YOU choose whats right and wrong..not the game

Talking in an unfriendly manner in Kotor. Makes me feel bad even though it's my only option.

I only played the first chapter of Fable cuz I felt manipulated into telling on the cheating husband. It really made me mad that that was the "good" choice.
Fuh.

Nuking Megaton in Fallout 3. Morally reprehensible. None of those people deserved that fate, no matter how I could attempt to justify it. And murdering the Tower inhabitants afterwards by ghoul proxy in no way shape or form made up for it.

Using the Little Sisters for Adam in Bioshock.

Murdering my wife in Fable 2 just to hear the bard sing about it later. That made me feel really really evil, especially since it was the whole blood sacrifice in the evil temple.

Dropping Yoshi to his death in multiple Super Mario World levels to save my own skin... just doesn't feel right to me.

I'm sure numerous players are going to cite this if the topic catches fire, but "No Russian" was perhaps the most uncomfortable moment in gaming history for me. Granted, the scene depicted had a number of important thought-provoking themes over the question regarding the value of a single human life over that of another, but I couldn't shake the fact that the sequence was absolutely redundant when you realize you were being double-crossed. While it is undoubtedly an exceptional sequence, it crossed a line for me that most games don't even come close to.

Another uncomfortable game-play mechanic from a popular first-person shooter was harvesting Little Sisters in Bioshock 1 or 2. The idea of murdering an innocent little girl in order to increase your own power shouldn't sit right with any human being.

There is the option to skip no russian :/.
Also i dont think the little sisters in bioshock were all so innocent ( although i played the game once and rushed through it just to say i played it so i might have missed when it said they were ).

OT: nope never happened to me, why? Easy because it is a Video game, it is not real , thus it doesn't affect me. I able to tell the difference between reality and video games. My father explain the difference to me real young , and allowed me to play M rated games which did not make me any me any more violent than the next kid ( even made me less violent because i would never want to hurt or kill anybody because from what i saw in games u don't come back from dying)
