Yeah maybe Bond. Maybe. I just don't like how they've screwed all the cool gadgets over and even made references that cool gadgets are not "2012" enough :(
You do realize that the bond series got its start as a series of books that are much coler to the current Bond films than what people consider to be the "bond formula" correct? The recent movies have been a much needed return to Bond's roots, not a betrayal of the origins of the series.

James Bond? I really love some of the earlier films but Skyfall took all that was Bond and pummeled it with a meat grinder until all that remained was the name. I'd rather they do no more 007 films instead of making more in a similar vein to Skyfall.
agreed, so many people i know call the newest bond one of if not their favorites.

and i'm over here thinking

anything that was "james bond" before about all the good older ones has been stripped away for this B version action movie with a watered down bond.

sad thing is i really like daniel craig as an actor. they could keep making more movies but now the whole "007" name has just been lost of any value to me, i own't pay a single dime on any more movies unless they actually go back to making james bond what he was.

I'm pretty sure everyone who ever watched Supernatural wanted it to die at the end of the fifth season.
nevarrr! i need moar sam and dean :D

really it is getting ridiculous now, i'll admit that, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

plus they better wrap up the whole "god" thing, they've played the god card multiple times throughout the seasons to save someone or do something, and if they don't wrap him/her/it up, i'm gonna be pissed

OT: Generally no, for the most part i can just ignore it, especially in tv shows or movies, i can just enjoy what i had before and not have to worry about the rest.

the only one that still bugs me is mass effect, for obvious reasons, i can barely play me1 or me2 anymore when they used to be in my top 5 most replayed games for quite a while.

mehh, otherwise generally i'll say "no", i can always ignore what they dish out.

Honestly? I'd have to say either Two and a Half Men or Pokemon. Two and a Half Men's continuation after Charlie Sheen got sacked and replaced by Ashton Kutcher was funny enough for a while, but the new series has grown somewhat stale. As for Pokemon, I love the series from the bottom of my heart, but dear God Nintendo, you're going to have over 700 of the wee buggers running around in X and Y. Seriously, it's time to stop.

Personally I think Pokemon should've stopped a while ago. Which is why I haven't played a Pokemon game beyond Soul Silver.

House, NCIS, Scrubs and True Blood are all shows I stopped watching before the end, because I felt they were just dragging them on for the sake of it.

Dexter is going that way as well. The new season started better than I expected, but now it's becoming stupid again. For a supposed cool headed sociopath, Dexter sure does run on emotions a lot.

Prison Break should have finished after the first. The idea was original and clever, but it started to get contrived later.

The problem is that they all start off with a unique premise, but that slowly starts to get diluted as they drag them on to the point they have nothing special about them any more. Especially the ones where the first season was self contained and didn't have any real "need" to continue.

Well when there is a game/movie/book that is well told and especially when it's very self contained, it does "irk" me when a bad sequel, or prequel comes out trying to continue on from a story and consequently either not living up to expectations, or just over exposing the last one.

Although this is probably why I don't mind, (in fact recently I've come to love) reboots, since like a good sequel, they don't attempt to trample on the legacy of the old. Reboots to me, just give a "what if" scenario. Hell, even if a sequel or reboot isn't good, I just don't buy it, that's all there is to it.

That being said, if there was a series I really would prefer not to continue, it would the Silent Hill films. Not because I'm screaming betrayal or any nonsense, but rather that they just don't work in film. There is no way you can transfer the atmosphere and sense of dread from a horror game to a horror film. In a game I am a participant of the horror, in a film, I am the witness to the horror, it's just not the same sensation.

InFAMOUS seemed like a game with a really definitive end and whilst I'm psyched for the new one I'm dubious as to how it ties into the infamous universe, or if it just goes to somwhere new entirely, but hey more is better none.
I'm just very, very relieved that Cole isn't the protagonist again and his story actually is over. They easily could have just rushed out another half-baked sequel ala Force Unleashed 2 but at the very least we're getting something proper. Also, having smoke powers must be pretty darn interesting.

Anyway, Better off Ted gets my vote. It truly sucks that they canned it but in hindsight, the show at least ended with a magniflorious second season and I'm quite happy with the thought that it never outstayed its welcome.

Yeah I read the first few books, they were alright. I still really like the gadgets regardless of how ungadgety Bond's roots were. I loved the laser watch, exploding pen, invisible car etc etc. They made Bond this guy who always had this little trick up his sleeve and it was fun to see how he would use all this stuff he had been given in the most creative ways. They were fucking COOL!

When did I go on about a betrayal anyway? I liked the gadgets, they removed the gadgets therefore i'm a little bit sad. The new Bond films are still good but I don't care for them as much as the old ones.

Ghostbusters.

I LOVE the Ghostbusters...but there's just no need to try to remake or revitalize the franchise right now.

The original cast is too old or too disinterested in revisiting the series and I don't want to see it used as a jumping off point for a new group of currently popular buzz word comedians to be the "new hires."

Assassin's Creed, I'm one of the few people that actually liked the first one so when the second one came out it was probably one of the best sequels in gaming history getting rid of the bad and only adding good content and then Brotherhood came and added a few more things as well as a decent multiplayer everything seemed good for awhile.

Then we got revelations only a year after with a very small map and just plain boring story that I had to struggle to finish it also added that terrible mini-game that's thankfully completely avoidable. Then when footage first started to show of AC3 I got my hopes up because it was made by the same studio that did 2 (as far as I'm aware Brotherhood and Revelation were made by a different branch of Ubisoft) and it started okay enough you play as a Templar at the beggining and then you learn stuff as a kid and that was okay despite honestly feeling a lot like Red Dead Redemption where you can just go around skinning animals and such, but then everything took a turn for the worse. Missions were pointless, side quests were just exercises in the mundane and you just faff about no better word can describe it. A game supposedly about 2 rival factions and saving the world just has you fixing up shops and telling your assassins to go on missions. It was just a huge disappointment. I haven't even beaten it because it was so boring.

A lot of times. Whenever there's been a good conclusion or a really good season there's some part of me that wants it to stop rather than go down hill

The Matrix "series" has only one movie for me.

House got old long before even the musical episode (That should be the new "shark jump" moment).

Heroes should have been one season.

For games, FFXIII. It was bad the first game, just SHTAAAAAAAP! Go back to making better crafted experiences, not cutscene-filled garbage!

Edit: Whoops, wrong FF ; ;

It's Mass Effect for me, love it or hate it, that ending was pretty definitive.

I'm not looking forward to whatever ME4 is and that movie swirling around in pre-production. I'm done with that universe.

Ghost In The Shell, they are already making a new serie with this ip but I'm already sure they mess it up. The 3 movies and the serie Stand Alone Complex wrapped it up fine.

I would say Bleach, not so much that I DIDN'T want it to continue, but that at the end of one of its arcs, it was fortunate to land on a satisfying conclusion the the series, and I would've been happy with that.

So towards the end of Aizen escaping the fake Karakura Town and entering the real world, Ichigo finally emerges and seems determined to defeat Aizen. Despite having gained various powers, going through various form changes, and trying to best Ichigo at every turn, Aizen seems to be no match against Ichigo and his newly obtained strength. On a final "winner take all" maneuver, Ichigo unleashes a powerful, forbidden technique that leaves Aizen nearly dead and depowered, allowing Urahara to properly seal him away and send him to Soul Society.

Ichigo collapses as a side effect of performing the forbidden technique and doesn't awake until a month later. Everyone explains that Ichigo is losing his spiritual powers and soon, he will no longer be able to see, hear, or sense spirits and spiritual entities. As he bids his final farewell to all of the Shinigami, Rukia vanishes from his sight as they say their final good-byes.

Then they got experimented on to produce new parasitic strains. No mention of aliens or anything anywhere. As far as we know, they are a terrestrial lifeform.
Are they? Believe me, I'd love to be wrong, RE4 is one of my favorite games.

I thought a meteor had struck where the castle was built, causing that huge hole underneath it, and it's why they found the plagas in that cave.
As someone who's played through Resident Evil 4 more times than he can count (and just double-checked the wiki [http://residentevil.wikia.com/Plaga] to be sure), I can confirm this. Not once are Las Plagas explained as being from space. Between their Body Snatchers-esque habits and Leon's "Sounds more like an alien invasion to me" remark, I can see where you got that idea, though. I thought for sure the first time I played it that they were going to reveal Las Plagas as extraterrestrials at some point, but it never happened. (Though I don't see how that inclusion would have damaged the game's story, considering that it's not meant to be taken seriously in the first place.)
Thanks, I was going to reply with basically the exact same thing, but you've saved me the trouble.

There is supposed to be a Wheel of Time movie series in the making.
At first I was excited but after thinking some I'm starting to hope it never sees the light of day.
There is just no way it could come out any good.

As for games, I was really into the first couple Assassin's Creeds, but they've turned the franchise into a money cow. To I point I can't even force myself finish the latest game.
I wish they told the story and ended it in 3 games, it could have been one of the best game trilogies.
