I reserved a seat for Liam Neeson's mother at a school function years ago by sitting on it for about five minutes until she was able to come over and sit at it.

I went to the same church as Brad Pitt's mom... and that's as close as I've ever gotten (unless you count journalist Ed Bradley, who I'm apparently related to.)

I've met Colin Mochrie. My mum won tickets to a taping of this super short-lived show called Super Town Challenge, which Colin hosted. My brother actually had the balls to get an autograph... I did not. He's also met Trent Reznor (his idol - he says he can die happily now), and the guys from Protest The Hero.

Holy crap, I love Jimmy Carr!! I'm pretty jealous.

I have shaken hands with Prince William when I was 9 years old. He came down to Swansea with Prince Harry and Prince Charles seeing as his dad's the Prince of Wales and it was the Golden Jubilee.

My mum and sis walked past Jack Davenport (Commodore Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean) at a service station, and I heckled Jimmy Carr and his comeback made me laugh for about five minutes.

Got wished a happy birthday when I was 7 by the Chuckle Brothers. That was quite funny...when I was 7.

Dustin Diamond who played Screech on the show "Saved by the Bell" did a comedy show with Trixx from Video on Trial at my school on the Wednesday before St. Patricks Day and then they both stayed for the St. Patty's Day Pub night later that same night and I was able to get a picture with Screech. Funny guy.

(Screech was my nickname all through high school too cause people thought I looked just like the character. lol)

I've met loads of rock musicians and stuff, I was a gig promoter for a while and stuff. Then in 2008 I followed Coheed and Cambria on the Kerrang tour, hung out with them a bunch along with Charlie Simpson (yes from busted) and his band Fightstar.
Isn't Claudio the most genuinely nice and awesome guy ever? I met him last year after a show in Columbus.

Other than that, just a few smaller time musicians and athletes.
Oh hell yeah, all I did was turn up to a load of shows and he like totally took me in. Took me on the bus, showed me some concept art from the new comic, gave me a backstage pass, I even got a shoutout from the stage and Welcome Home dedicated to me one night. Now if any other bands would do that for their fans I'd be shocked.
Holy CRAP that is absolutely amazing...and one of my fav bands becomes even more respected by me.
Hell yeah, best couple of weeks of my life.

I watched John Cleese live once.
And I watched Top gear live this weekend.

Yes that is the closest I've come to ever meeting any real celebrities.
I did meet an author I idolized at the time when I was a child though. He isn't really famous though.

Let's see...

I've personally met Billy Bob Thorton whenever he came to an American military base. At first it was hard to tell it was him.
The following bands: Vader, Dark Tranquility, Orphaned Land, Into Eternity...and a few others I can't recall off the top of my head.
Mary Higgins Clark, the author.
I met the uncle of Zack Galfanakis in the line at the place I work.
I have an autograph from Randy Moss back when he was a sophmore in college.

That's all I can think of.

My mom and I had a brief chat with Kevin McHale (of Celtics fame) once. He was coming out of a Publix and we were going in at the time. I used to think I was tall.... Also my mom claims she walked past David Letterman on the beach once.

Also Jesus Montero (catching prospect in the Yankees organization) has had dinner with my family a couple of times, part of a long story.

I've met and talked to Danny DeVito, his son goes to the same college as I.
Shook hands with Obama.
We are family friends with a world famous painter, John Palencar. He does paintings for Stephen King, Christopher Paolini (Eragon Series) as well as several others. He also did the cover art for Escape from Butcher Bay, and met Diesel in person for him to model.

My Grandad has written a Hymn that is in quite a lot of Hymn books...does that count?

Um...my uncle has starred in numerous Canadian TV shows and in a feature film alongside Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz...that's probably closer to a famous person

I met Humphrey Littleton before he died...yeah, I'm going with that

Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf), Kenny Baker, Jools Holland. I was working at the time and couldn't really speak to any of them, not that I especially wanted to.

At sci fi conventions/events: Robert Picardo, Bruce Boxleitner, Andreas Katsulas (he hugged my Mum, I was so proud) and the whole cast of B5 except the blonde woman whose name currently escapes me. And whoever it was in the lift at the event hotel, who gave me nods and encouraging smiles but who I didn't dare speak to because I wasn't sure who she was (one day I will figure it out and kick myself). I won dinner with Nana "Kira" Visitor, but was stood up (dammit).

I stood at the stage door once to meet the Indigo Girls, they were lovely but to date I could never explain why they signed each other's names on my flyer. Go figure.

Queen Noor from Jordan, who I didn't recognise and wouldn't recognise again. She was just a blonde lady who was very nice.

Edwina Currie - a British politician. She was a ***** and she uses a fuckton of hairspray (one of those awkward moments where you meet someone in the ladies room).

My favourite will always be Claudia "Ivanova" Christian, so sweet and funny and charming.

Oh, and Jeri Ryan answered one of my tweets which made me giddy.

A couple of times. At age 13 I met Linkin Park (meet-n-greet kinda thing at a concert)

summer of 2006 I went to a horror con and met several actors, a couple of authors and, Tom Sivini and, George Romero.

I have also met Cradle of Filth...that was at a concert in 2005 I think >.> So that Cradle of Filth was a different band than when they first formed in 91 and different than they are now.

I came close to meeting Yoshiki of X-Japan at Otakon but my ex pulled me out of the line e.e She is now my X (heh...pun)

This probably doesn't count but I have some blu-rays autographed by Kevin Smith >.>

One of the dudes from McFly used to come into Borders in Watford when I worked there. Think he was the lead singer.

Terrible music but he was a nice bloke. Always nice to the kids who asked for his autograph and pleasant enough to my staff.

Also my dad and his brothers grew up with Vinnie Jones and he is still a famly friend. He used to play football at the club at the top of my road in Bedmond. When me and my sister were there he would always give us money to play on the arcade machines.

Think thats about it though.

Not massively famous people but those are my claims to fame.

I saw that dog from the beethoven movie, apparently they are filming another. He was working though, and directors apparently have a problem when you walk through their sets and pet the celebrities. I am of course being satirical with the last part, celebrities love to be pet.
Winning.
