Have you ever pulled a sicky to play a game?

As much as I'd like to, I will not skip college classes that I'm paying for to go game for a few more hours.

Even in highs chool and below i didn't. I just gamed around my more pressing commitments. it's not that hard. A guy in accouting should probably have more self control than me at 8 years old but okay.

ive booked a week off to play halo 3, and i noticed my colleague booked off a week for a "Holiday" on the same week GTA4 came out.

I almost failed 9th grade because of Warcraft 3. I bet I skipped 30 days that year to play. Totally worth it.

I pulled a three day sicky to play Fallout3. Got in 82 hours game play in during those three days... I can tell you my eyes really hurt afterwards and my brain kept thinking I was still playing the game for another two days.

Anyone else confused with the math here?

I've never pulled a sick day to play games, but I have planned vacations around game releases. If I know I'm getting a new game, I'll put in for vacation time, and if the vacation's a little bit after the game comes out, I wait---it makes the anticipation that much sweeter.

I wouldn't fake being sick to get out of work (I've only done that once and I felt really bad about it), but taking a day off to play an awesome game sooner/longer, sure. Especially when you work fulltime like I do, lack of gaming time can get extremely frustrating when you've just bought one or more great games.

I do remember there being a distinct lack of half my year level on the day Modern Warfare 2 came out.
