The only game I've ever thrown a sicky to go play was football. What, there was a 5 a side tournament, 3 people had already booked the day off to go to London shopping, what was I supposed to do?

Wasn't the release of burning crusade the highest day of US absenteeism ever?

OT: yes, I took several days off school (when I was still there) to play Guild Wars.

Now I'm at uni, so when I want to play games I don't take a day off, I just play games. Uni hours here are basically optional, because ultimately you'll just have to do the work in your own time.

With Mass Effect 2 coming out next week
That pretty much describes why I would ever pull a "sicky".... Unfortunately, the Tuesday North America release both means that I'm in the area to pick up my pre-ordered collector's edition... and that I'm busy half the day... and for the rest of the week. I might be able to skimp on some things though.... that would be cool. :)

I booked the the release date week of MW2 off of work, also stocked up on Coca-Cola and snacks beforehand so I didn't have to leave the house. Would like to point out I was ashamed of myself.

No, but my cousin did call a sicky once so that he could play World of Warcraft.
