Have you ever really liked a character everyone else hated?

Kreia/Darth Traya from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: the Sith Lords. I admire her intelligence, her dignity, her attitude, her wisdom, and her strength. I think she's awesome while most can't stand her.

I've seen Hope, Snow, Vanille and Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII get a lot of hate. Honestly, I kind of liked them. Hope's attitude at the beginning towards everything, especially Snow, is understandable, given the circumstances. Snow just seems to me like the kind of guy who just wants to do what's right, and he seems like an OK guy to hang out with. Vanille's voice isn't as bad as people say. Lightning, I just don't think deserves the hate that she gets.

I would say the cast of FFXIII, but looking at this thread, maybe they're less hated than I thought? But there still seems to be Snow hate. I liked him. In the same way you like a stupid puppy that runs into walls.
Also- Gippal and Baralai from FFX-2. I liked them more than Yuna in that game, to be honest.

Tidus in Final Fantasy X. Considering how subdued (I refuse to say the 'e' word) his predecessors were he was a breath of fresh air, yet not a total goofball either.
He fit the role of outsider well, later coming across as the only one with the pluck to call out Yevon and Seymour's bullshit since he didn't grow up with that religion. Considering he came from a fairly modern world not unlike our own, there's also shades of the player-insert type character some people like and some people hate.

Navi wasn't that annoying. I barely noticed her throughout the game. I'm too busy being the hero of time and/or fishing in a pond.

Fuck that owl. Navi just wandered about, but this guy legitimately cut into your playing time with his nonstop babbling about things we already know. Navi doesn't deserve a single mol of the hate she gets compared to this ************.

I didn't mind Raiden, probably because I didn't play metal gear solid. Snake was undoubtedly a lot cooler, but Raidene was alright. I liked him even better when he became the dickish, emo cyborg-ninja in MGS4.
I didn't hate Moira, Jar Jar, Slippy or Navi (but Midna was way better as a sidekick), either. Hell, I don't even have strong feelings toward or against Tingle.

At first, Sanosuke was my favorite character just because there was no one really likeable until the Kyoto arc. Then Saito appeared, and he was badass. I really love Saito.
He is an epic man (Freaking cutting a man in HALF with only the force of his Sword Thrust!) and i only wish we got to see his Wife, she must be one epic woman.
Yea, my tastes do differ from most crowds as well.
But it makes me feel special so i don't mind it.
