Have you ever really liked a character everyone else hated?

Mine have pretty much all been said so far.
Navi - Ocarina of Time
Lighting - FFXIII

And yes, im calling it a character, as ive never known anything get as much hate as it, and i loved every moment around it.

Fellow Mako lovers, UNITE! I loved that thing. Easily my favourite part of the original ME.

And this. Seriously, I don't get why everyone hates it (they probably just sucked at fighting thresher maws)

and Tingle... uh, wait no... I hated Tingle...

Boy I loved getting the fan killed by traps animal even managed to get the guards to kill him hehe ^ ^

I didn't mind Raiden, probably because I didn't play metal gear solid. Snake was undoubtedly a lot cooler, but Raidene was alright. I liked him even better when he became the dickish, emo cyborg-ninja in MGS4.
I didn't hate Moira, Jar Jar, Slippy or Navi (but Midna was way better as a sidekick), either. Hell, I don't even have strong feelings toward or against Tingle.

Oh yes.
Saito for Rurouni Kenshin.

Wait! Saito is actually hated? Like... A lot ? D: wow that guy rocked!

I really love Saito.
He is an epic man (Freaking cutting a man in HALF with only the force of his Sword Thrust!) and i only wish we got to see his Wife, she must be one epic woman.

Well I am sure there's a lot of characters I liked and others hated, since my taste is sometimes a little special compared to crowds... Only one who I can think of right now is Saito and Yomi (Ga-rei: zero), though.

Yea, my tastes do differ from most crowds as well.
But it makes me feel special so i don't mind it.

At first, Sanosuke was my favorite character just because there was no one really likeable until the Kyoto arc. Then Saito appeared, and he was badass. And now he easily one of the best parts of Rurouni Kenshin. The only thing I really dislike about him is that all he has is Gatotsu.

Sander Cohen.
He's basically a murderous version of Tingle.

People hated Sander Cohen? He was my favorite part of Bioshock!

I actually found it hard to really hate any of the characters, i just like them that much.

Yea, it is kinda disappointing that he doesn't have that large of a move set.
But really he doesn't need that many moves.
Gatotsu is just that powerful.

Anyway I actually liked Jar Jar, Navi, DMC 2 Dante, and the Madman from the Gay Science. All of my friends that read hate him but I find him entertaining.

Seriously I don't see how THAT many people can find him annoying. Yeah most of the "funny" lines are just pathetic but it still makes me laugh.

Nobody seems to like Kat in Halo: Reach. At least that's the impression I've received from everyone here.

What's wrong with her? What did she do to make you hate her? I thought she was quite cool in the opening cinematic to Long Night of Solace.

Also her death really shocked me.

She sucks at the gun torret, she's always nagging about the enemies at her back where they are all chewing on your bum. I also don't like carter. Together they are the douche duo.

Several. Shadow the Hedgehog first of all. Same with Princess Elise. Somewhat Silver to, but i don't LOVE him, he's just pretty cool in my eyes. Actually, pretty much any Sonic character would qualify under this.

I don't DISLIKE Jar Jar Binks, but I don't have any particular love for him either. I just think he's alright. Anakin Skywalker for that matter as well.

And I suppose that this KIDNA counts, but I like the interpretation of Spider-Man from the 1990's cartoon show.

I'm sure that there are a few that I'm missing.
