Big Boss and Ocelot from the Metal Gear Series. Neither of them are actually evil, they just have somewhat questionable methods.

Lucien from Fable 3.

You take over from him, and then he reveals that the whole nation is going to be invaded and crushed by an ancient horror. And to stop it, you have to be arguably worse than him (or break the game through exploiting real estate, but that's irrelevant). That was a big "Oh!" moment for me. Sure, he acted like a tyrannical dick, but he didn't have the time or the social stability to deal with rebels and protesters peacefully.
Lucien's from Fable II The King/ Brother in Fable III is Logan

OT, first play through of FallOut NV I went with 'Hail Caeser' ..... I know the slavery and all that but he seemed the lesser of three evils!
How was he the lesser of three evils?! He's the evilest mofo in the game :p

I think you mean Logan :p

But same here.
My mistake. That wasn't even a typo, I remembered his name being Lucien! Damn Fable and their similar sounding villain names.

Saren, the geth, Chaos from warhammer 40K(because they basically have gone crazy and live a horrible life i mean you will probably killed or shot or tortured and be damned for eternity) the covenant from halo there religion was false and truth tried to cover that up by killing us! although his reason were arguablely reasonable.

I have issues with the NCR (maybe it the outfits) and any bloke modeled after Howard Hughes is a no-no in my book, besides I always go evil on my first play through (if I have the choice)

Really great question,

I personally thought that your brother in Fable Three was trying to do the right thing. Especially since 50% of players continue to do exactly what he was doing. Also I don't understand how saving live in the long run is considered evil?

Thanks for that. I forgot about the Deleter. I found out close to the end of the game that there's a thing in the menu about the federation squad. The guys that were dead were labelled "Deceased." I checked that a few more times through the game and, through a bit of logic, figured out that the Deleter was the asian guy... I think. Yeah, the game gives you a murder mystery that YOU are supposed to solve, without telling you that you are supposed to solve it. And, seeing as how he dies off screen, he was completely inconsequential to the plot, the Deleter had no real role at all and, seeing as how the people he killed had no point to them either, is therefore not even a villain. He's just simply pointless.
This discussion is totally of topic but:

The Asian guy was the guy that got shot in the back in a cutscene and dropped in the lava. He's MIA instead of KIA. The real Deleter was the guy with the glasses (James Pierce) who you find in final room. Madeline kills him because...well....the writers decided the Deleter wasn't being used in the story so..they deleted hem HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pun-attack.

But yeah I remember seeing like a interview with the writer and how much effort they put in it. I'm an amateur writer so I loved to see that and really thought when seeing that video and when they said how they wanted to protray Samus (as a strong woman but with soft sides) I was really positive. The final product though.....

I remember it happening, but I can't for the life of me remember which game. I quit playing that game because it no longer had any appeal. It certainly wasn't Assassin's Creed. I sympathize with the guards to the extent that I regret the necessity of their deaths, but in the end, they are working for an organization with an evil agenda. Whether they know it or not, they are assisting in the destruction of free will, so when they get in the way of stopping that, i kill them without guilt.

I usually sympathize with the mooks, because I have no illusions of grandeur: if a video game became real, I would not be the hero, I would likely be one of the guards

Constantly. Well, okay, not all the time, but with alarming frequency. I just usually find major villains to be way more interesting and entertaining characters than the protagonists. I don't need them to be redeemable or 'secretly good' (in fact, I kind of hate that cop out, and I hate when fanfic writers do it to pair them up with good guys <_<); I love them because they're evil soulless bastards and bitches. Also, the hammier they are, the more I love them.

I don't give a damn, Wesker is my favourite Resident Evil character. And I want Sarah Kerrigan to rule the universe like the Queen ***** she is. I wanted Elizabeth Greene to kick Alex Mercer's ass. I find these characters way more entertaining and interesting than the good guys we're supposed to be rooting for.

I don't care if your character dies, just so long as the portal gun wins in the end.
Fixed.

On the other hand, Bowser from super mario. I definitely think he was the good guy there.
Why fixed? GlaDOS wasn't a gun. GlaDOS was EVERYTHING! GlaDOS could be a million guns if she wanted to be.

And you know, come to think of it now, I always felt bad for Zeus in the God of War series. Even though I enjoyed playing as Kratos, he was always a bit of a dick to Zeus.

I felt sorry for Andrew Ryan from Bioshock. He just wanted to be left alone & give everyone freedoms that they didn't have on the surface....And what did it get him? A golf club to the head from his own son.

Yellow 13 (Ace Combat 4)
He was just like mobius one, someone who was fighting for his country. When the "storyteller boy" saw him, he felt comfortable being with him especially when Yellow 13 played the favorite song of the boy's father, the scene was very heartwarming. The boy found the goodness of a home in the company of the person who caused the deaths of his parents.

I also felt very sorry for him when i shot down Yellow 4 who he trained and took care of since she was a little girl.

He was a very good man.

Yeah, I felt sorry for Vulture when they took away his green suit, gave him a dracula costume, made him burn his house down TWICE and forced him to eat someone.

GlaDOS was a passing amusement. I don't care too much about her though. I care about my guns. They take care of me. :p
