Have you ever used a "N00b" tactic

Yeah, 6pooling in Starcraft 2, to my credit I never photon rushed or bunker rushed anyone. (OK I tried a photon rush one time long ago but the other guy got me first so it's okay.)

Taking the tele entrance of the enemy team as a Spy is a great way to go unnoticed in enemy territory, for some reason people assume that if you have that particle trail you aren't a Spy, I guess because not a lot of Spies use that tactic. It's also a good way to get right behind Engie turtles and possible telefrag them. A highly underused tactic IMO.

OP: Nope not really. If I consider something noobish I don't use it, the DR/Saharan Spy in TF2 for instance, even awful Spies can get a few kills with that set up.

It most fighting games, I will admit to being a noob spammer.

I wouldn't do it if it didn't work at least 70% of the time.

yep.

Actually, almost every single tactic thinkable in Combat Arms has been called "Noob" by somebody somewhere.

This video just about sums up my feelings.

What is a "noob" tactic really depends on what the majority likes/dislikes.

In MW2, I noticed the other team always went one way. So I changed to my lmg class, set up shop. And killed them all as they ran along one path. After a 10 kill streak they finally figured to go the other way. Half the team sent me voice messages (this is xbox live) about how I'm a camper-fuck who should lern 2 play da gam proprly. That last one was a text message from one player who was running around with the knife class.

using a shotgun in MAG apparently makes you a n00b

Noob strategies are those with auto-win imba weapons/tools. I have no examples, but I suppose something that requires no skill to use and guarantees a kill, win or something along those lines would be a noob tactic.

6 pool ling rush (sc2)? Not a noob tactic. Noobs are usually the ones losing. Did 34 Zealots lose against your Firebats? Well, sending 18 zealots would be a noob choice of strategy.

If you can't beat a fair strategy that can be beaten because you choose not to scout, prepare or were just too hasty -- that's not a noob tactic. That's being a noob against a tactic.

I have a class in CoD4 labeled as ***** Class.

It has the AK74U, 3 frags, sonic boom, martyrdom, and smoke grenades. It's stupid easy to top the scorelist with when you throw a random grenade, kill three people, repeat three times, and then charge into a group of enemies, die, and get four more kills from marty after killing two others with your SMG.

And just to piss off the snipers and make it easier to approach. I throw the smoke right where every camping sniper has their scope glued.

If you're getting called a noob, and also winning at the same time, you're doing something right. :3 Or abusing an unbalanced mechanic... either way works though.

There's no such thing as a noob tactic. There are tactics. Some work better than others and people better fucking deal with it.
This. I get EXTREMELLY annoyed when people call me a noob for using a specific tactic
Standard reply: Explain to me how my weapon choice is inferior to yours. If I'm such a noob, prove your superiority by killing me with a "normal" weapon.
That usually gets people to shut up.
Once (on RC) someone said if he was killed by another noob weapon (which was everything except the Republic rifle and pistol) he would hack the game so we all lost. He died. Then logged out.
5 minutes later, I get a pop up from my antivirus system.
"Foreign file detected. Return to sender?
YES NO"
Guess which one I clicked?

Using the Carl Gustav on infantry in BFBC2 I hate people doing it for KD, like standing and waiting, discarding their rifles to just use that god damn fire-forget. But I was out of ammo, had killed 3 people with my rifle and needed to reload. Lo and behold 4 people were coming at me, so I switched to the Carl Gustav and blew them sky high... sue me.
Shhh, it's ok. Gustaving as part of a balanced repertoire of weapons is nothing to be ashamed of... well at least that's what I tell myself. Hell at least I don't have the explosive damage specialisation.

<youtube=bLMYTQUw8Lc>I get called out for this often.
Even though it really doesn't appear to me to be nubbish... There are plenty of ways to counter camping.

The thing is almost everything in games like COD has been called "noobish" by someone. And I've done them all :)

I do too, but pray tell, how do you get to the entrance if all access to the next stage area are blocked off just before Badwater's Point C chokepoint?
Go Scout; equip Bonk. Being fast, maneuverable, and invincible will get you past any choke point.
