Have you ever used a "N00b" tactic

As many other people have said, I can't seem to get two kills in CoD without being called a noob. I do liberally use Last Stand on MW2 though, and usually kill myself with a flashbang before they get the points. Actually had someone flood my inbox with hate comments for that. Other than that, I cannon rush in SC2 sometimes, and I cheese when I'm feeling particularly noobish.

Also, I constantly get called a hacker in Combat Arms for burst-firing my assault rifle. Or for using a semi-auto sniper rifle (because apparently killing you in two shots is more of a noob tactic than killing you in one...go figure).

Like many other people I take whatever position and advantage is at my disposal to ensure I win. I find it funny when people whine in-game about someone being a noob for using a n00btube or camping or whatever. All of those can be handled with enough skill. My question to my in-game whiners, do you think actual soldiers call eachother noobs for taking strategic and advantageous positions? Probably not, the point is to win at all costs.

That I myself consider noobish? No.
That others do? You betcha.
Lets see..
Playing Guy on Super Street Fighter IV
Playing E.Honda on Super Street Fighter IV
Playing Makoto on Super Street Fighter IV
Using a rain dance team in a pokemon Wi-Fi battle
Using the AUG on Counter-Strike: Source
Playing as Assault on Day of Defeat: Source
Using the Backburner on Team Fortress 2 (I only use it on occasion and even then its just for variation)
Playing Night Elves on Warcraft 3
Playing Zerg on Starcraft 2
Playing Sisters of Battle on Dawn of War
Playing Dark Eldar on Dawn of War
Playing Tyranid's on Dawn of War 2
Using a Faith Claymore build on Demon's Souls
Using a Bramd build on Demon's Souls (Albeit a bad build, it was an experiment and it was fun. Plus I did get a fair amount of kills)
Using the Energy Sword on any HALO game that has it included.
Using the Grenade Launcher on Resistance 2
Using the "Loch 'n Load" on Team Fortress 2

Thats all I can think of for now.

I am horrible at FPS games. Thus when forced to play COD with my boyfriend and other young male friends I resorted to the Rocket Launcher. I still failed to kill any opponents ;___;

Yes.

I used any sort of weapon that could kill a person in Call of Duty.

(I've been called a noob for basically every conceivable thing in COD.)
Very true, I even get a lot of that on PC though not as bad as when I had a go at the 360 version. Yeah, Activision/IW/Treyarch NEEDS to learn how to manage and administer their community better.

This really, though back when we had stopping power and juggernaut those are just ridiculously overpowered perks, 40% more health or 40% more weapons damage for NO downside and not even indication you are running it? It turns something like the M16 into a insta-death raygun, deadlier than a sniper rifle as it'll one hit kill even kill with limb shots and fire faster too.

That really is nooby and I'm frankly glad Jug and Stopping Power are gone from Black Ops, makes you wonder why they didn't do it sooner.

Also like how Black ops does Killstreaks, reminds me more of COD4 In how they are significant but not game ending every time they are deployed, i think people are spoiled after MW2's ridiculous killstreaks, maybe that's why people are so mad about Blops' more balanced approach? But the best thing is how killstreaks don't self stack, that gives a huge incentive to run your first two Killstreaks as support functions, like spy plane, counter-spy, Blackbird and so on.

Things like that really make Treyarch the more innovative developer out of the two CoD devs teams, definitely revolutionising the game the most since the seminal COD4.

But the ongoing problem is how poorly managed the CoD community is, unlike other online multiplayer communities CoD doesn't have as much dialogue between players and developers, what's the point as for most within months of buying the game the sequel is already announced! Also with such a huge player base as well as transient one, but still if Activision REALLY wants to make CoD advance with the times they need to find a way of communicating to their player base guiding them to good practice and stopping bad practice in its tracks.

I mean that blatant quick-scoping glitch should have been patched out within months of MW2 launching, not waiting for the entire sequel!

eh it depends, in mostly any shooter, if some dude on the other team is being a douchebag or using a really cheap tactic, i normally have a really cheap counter attack tactic in which continuously owns them, to the point they eventually stop, which i feel triumphant and go back to my normal routine of just having fun. its the one goal of mine while playing shooters, is to annoy and humiliate all douchebags using douchebag strategies. i i succeed in that then i have a very successful day

Sniping, and charging with a rocket launcher into the enemy spawn point, killing everybody on their team (and myself) with a couple of well-placed missiles. In fairness, it's not hard to see a guy carrying a rocket launcher running straight at you, and they couldn't bring me down in time.

You and me both, man. I once got called trash by a quickscoper for being a legitimate sniper, and using my sidearm, in one sentence.

And for the record, it was a USP. With no attachments.

I've been called a noob for "spawn killing" in Call of Duty. I run around a corner and two people spawn infront of me. What the hell am I supposed to do? Run away?

I use an WWII Machine Gun as a Medic in BF:BC2.
Its really good since it is lightweight and dosen't take a millenium to reload.

According to my friends, you are supposed to cook a grenade and kill yourself in said situation.

At least someone is sure to die that way right?

people are basically little girls and if you shot them they will use anything they can to make you out to be the noob or hacker so they can feel better about being owned.

Yeah but by the time I cook the grenade I'd be dead.
