Have you ever wrote a fanfic? And if yes, why (and for what)?

Well let's see..
I did a Mass Effect one of Fem!Shep/Zaieed Basically I shamelessly shipped it horribly.
I started a StarCraft II fanfic of an original Character Ghost of mine that escaped from the Ghost Academy..it wasn't that bad but the character needed series new writting.
I do alot of OC/Canon fics, but I am too scared to admit those here XD

Technically I suppose I have because I submitted stuff in English at secondary school based in various universes. Of course, since they were all video game related, the teachers didn't know that they were set in these universes but they still passed, so I suppose they weren't terrible.

I do.
I'm working on a short post F!Hawke Anders post DA2
Two Mass Effects one in which F!Shep chose control and another in which she chose the renegade option. and in both I ship her with Kaidan...because I love him *serious face*

All the time, and for too many fandoms to count. It's fun to play with scenarios, to question, what if and then run with that thought. It's good practice---think of it like training wheels for original fiction.

Oh I can relate to this topic.
I've started just a few fanfics on my favourite game series (Fallout and Bioshock) which I often just scrap down plots and story ideas but i'm no the best writer so 'm not writing them everyday but pretty often. I been working on a bioshock infinite separate story prequel (which sounds crazy considering its still quite a few months away) butI'm not entirely sure where I'm going with it and i'm starting to think to just wait until after the game.
Often in my stories, I like to make them slightly realistic which adds a bit more of serious sense. I'm no one of those who write a fanfic to get some characters intertwined for a romantic story but I enjoying expanding on the universe the series takes place.

My biggest fanfic project was based in the Sailor Moon universe, manga edition. I wanted to have three humans get forcibly get turned into monsters, but somehow retain themselves. Working with monster defecters, they play along with the leaders and officers of the monster forces in order to discover their grand scheme and derail it. But this means confrontations with Mini-Moon, acting leader of her Sailor Soldiers, and eventually, the senior members of the senshi. I also wanted the main character to develop a relationship with Jupiter as well, which in fact causes internal conflict and tension on every front. The overarcing theme for the story was supposed to be about the value of life and in living it, with monsters disregarding life, the senshi stagnating in life, and the main and his crew of misfits caught in the middle. I had such big plans for the story...but I never followed through, having only written a handful of chapters and never submitting them anywhere. *sigh* Maybe someday I'll finish it...Maybe.
