Help me convince my girlfriend.

I have heard from a few friends (who are hardcore gamers) the Kinect is really fun. And looks alot better than the move in terms of games so far.

Don't get a Kinect or a Wii... They both suck. Mostly little kid games. Any of the games that attempt to service an older crowd are just pathetic. I am not kidding. Unless your gf is into games designed for four-year olds, then by all means, get the Kinect.

Kind of, but I also don't want to see her waste so much money (SHE DOESN'T HAVE A JOB) on a Xbox 360 AND a kinect when I have a perfect one that she can use any time. Also I know for a fact no wheres in her house is big enough for the kinect (you know, that whole, "stand farther away" thing that the Kinect does)

I just checked EB Games.ca and you're right BUT! that's only the 4 GB console so if she's gonna be gaming, she needs a WAY bigger hard drive then that.

So my girlfriend wants to get a Xbox 360 and a Kinect....please help me.

I already have an Xbox 360 so it'd be cheaper for her to just buy a Kinect or something, what I want her to get is a PS3 because I think she'd have lots of fun with LBP2 and the PS Move (which I have heard is better but who knows) This isn't suppose to be a flame war or something so just list the pros and cons of both systems I guess or just the PS3.

So please help me convince her the PS3 is a better choice. She's not very good at video games so I can't really even imagine why she'd want the Kinect/Xbox.

Either an Xbox 360 or the Nintendo Wii, but like I said, I'd rather she got the PS3, that way we could just exchange consoles every now and then. (Although now that I think of it, I'll probably just get the Kinect when I get a job)

EDIT!!!!: I should say this now, I want her to get a PS3 not just for me P) but for us (mainly us) we played the Scott Pilgrim game on my Xbox and she LOVED it, I just want to have lots of fun with her and I know the PS3 has lots of fun CO-OP games and I KNOW she'd absolutely love LBP2 (I'm gonna see if I can get my friend's PS3 for the weekend when she's here and play LBP 2 with her) I just don't want to see her waste her money on something that has so little games and not fun ones (from what I've heard of the Kinect)

EDIT 2!!!: Now that I think about it, she'd hardly be playing it as well, so it'd be a waste if she bought either, she goes to this school thing from Monday to Friday and she has other stuff all through the week (except for Monday, Thursday, Friday, and the weekend) but she's with me the days she is available, she'd hardly get time to play either system. So when she's here with me, she's already playing the Xbox

I honestly think you should just get her what she wants. If all else fails, you take it back and try something else, but if she wants the xBox I would get her that first and see how she likes it.

I'd love to get her it, I would......if I didn't have to pay for my car insurance bill soon! ARGH!!!

Now I never said she didn't want a PS3, actually funny thing, she has a PS2 so it's a wonder she doesn't think about getting the PS3.....anyways, I don't even know why she wants the xbox 360, so she might be thinking about the PS3 or just doesn't know about it (she's not really a big gamer) also I have a job! Trust me, she always wants to play CO-OP, all the games she does have (for DS and PS2) are multiplayer games, the problem is she doesn't have people to play them with (DS, not PS2, she has people to play PS2 with....I think) and when she is here (when we do play games) it's always CO-OP games, in fact, if she could, she probably would play along with me on my 3D co-op games (so far we've only played side scrolling beat em ups)

Become a PC gamer. Lot's of co-op to go around! ...just not easy to transport...and...I'm sure you'll find other problems. But you can play all the old games you want on a PC! long live obscure NES games! ..Just don't play battletoads. Level 3 is no fun coop...

Yeah the racing one...with the walls. That looks like it takes place in a giant colon. That level takes way too long...and 2 players makes it horrible x.x

old games make for better coop anyway I think. especially hot-seat coop, PC makes good coop with LAN games designed for it, and emulators for old consoles, I'd maybe recommend a gamepad though, unless you have an anti-ghosting keyboard. But hey if you have real consoles, even better! And it's a hell of a lot cheaper. You don't even need a huge gaming computer for some of the more fun coop games.

Well that is the one thing only Kinect does properly, as it tracks all your limbs your dance moves really need to fit for it to give you a pass.
I'd say let her have Kinect and then enjoy the show, maybe make some youtube vids...

You're right, now I just gotta find more CO-OP games for the SNES, know any? I think what she'd like the most is ones we can both play at the same time, like Battle toads, not like DKC where you tag your partner in.
